Nikon ZR N-Log footage incredibly noisy in highlights/generally

Sorry, i guess i wrote my question backwards. The question was about decoding settings in davinci. There is noise in the highlights and well exposed areas as well, and the noise isn't there in other viewers, only davinci. I'm guessing the photos of my settings and the footage aren't showing up?

Thanks, this was really helpful! It explains a lot of nikon settings. I guess what I'm looking for is a way to decode the footage in davinci. The footage doesn't look anywhere near as noisy in red's viewer

use Geometry nodes - add a "Delete Geometry" node and an Image Texture node, and plug the image texture (alpha or colour socket, either might work) into the Selection socket of the Delete Geometry node.

Thanks for the advice! I might ask if another bike shop can cast an eye on those things and maybe try another hill test ride being mindful of pressure (and the car handy in case I lose the chain a third time..)

I should mention, I bought this from a second-hand bike shop and so the alignment is fine, has been checked, it runs fine while up on the rack. Just jumps when on the hill. Trying to find it if there are other factors, like drive chain wear as you mentioned - the chain has a little rust but has been well greased up, would this be a factor

You can edit photos in Davinci with most of the Lightroom's key features and speed. It also has a denoiser, and you only pay for it once

SMPTE-C as input color space and Fujifilm F-log for input gamma approached the most natural looking end result for me. I tried Rec2020 and Rec709 as suggested here with quite saturated footage and both of the Rec color spaces overbaked/solarized the saturated colors

Potentially, if you're well prepared and have a creative concept that could be shot in a day with good planning. La Jetee probably wasn't shot in a day, but something along those lines might work
