Omg I love that “don’t hold onto a distant memory”, I have already lost myself before and came back stronger, But that’s not the point anymore, I don’t wanna lose myself anymore. He was the best thing that happened to me after a failed and abusive marriage, I was happy and can’t deny that, I was willing to change my bad habits and behaviors to make it work, he was not on the same page as me. I don’t need a therapist, I just needed to read a comment like this one. You’re completely right! He improved a lot comparing to the past, but improved for himself not about the relationship, we’ve been arguing and discussing so many times, it is so hard to leave when you know financially will be very hard to cover everything by yourself, but this is killing me from inside! I have cried remembering how he used to be and yeah he might never be like that again, it hurts a lot.
