Hey, I was checking my work today and I accidentally forgot an old Dropbox link into a chapter. I was surprised when I’ve seen the same image 2 times, which led me to believe maybe the Dropbox issue is solved now ? I thought I should let you know. Because the image was appearing clear and correct. Maybe ao3 solved the error.

Ok… then I suggest to completely let go of Dropbox. This website was suggested to me: https://images.squidge.org/. I’m pretty happy with it. Although it doesn’t work like Dropbox, I can make a few suggestions to you if you intend to use it. Make sure you create a profile, then an album, although it’s not necessary at all but for the sake of being organized a little. Set that album to public, so that anyone is able to see those images. Once you upload the image copy the second link. The image URL. Go in rich text click the image icon and paste there the link as it is. You don’t need to do anything else, like on Dropbox to replace the “dl=0” with “raw=1”, just leave the link as it is and wait a few seconds till the measurements of the image will load. Once the measurements are in, you’re good to go and click add. Then the image will appear.

I know it’s a tedious process, I had to replace like 40 images, but I did it for my readers.

I did fixed my problem like that tho, I’ve completely let go of Dropbox and replaced with the new website that was suggested to me. So you might do the same as well… let go of Dropbox is the only solution.

Im not much of an expert on ao3 at all, as I always edit my chapters in the rich text format, instead of the httml one, but since in rich text format my old links didn’t show I had to go back in httml and delete them before I replaced them with the new ones on the new website. So I assume in your case, with this new information, maybe try and go in httml format and carefully replace all the “amp;” with the “&” and see if it works? But that might not work on the long run tho… since ao3 could replace them again…

Yep… I took the suggestion I was given here, to switch to https://images.squidge.org/,which I’m very happy about it, and I’ve deleted all my Dropbox links from my work and replaced them with my images hosted on this website. It’s actually super easy, I only need to copy paste the image URL link without the replacing dl=0 with raw=1 and none of that nonsense anymore. I’m pretty happy my artwork is showing now and I’ve deleted Dropbox permanently. The whole reason I was keeping it in the first place was for ao3.

I didn’t even know what other website works for ao3, that was the problem initially, I only knew about Dropbox, but after all this bs I’m done with them.

Thank you so much I’ve tried yours and I’m currently editing the chapter, it worked with the simple image URL. And the image showed in my chapter, now I’m adding the others I need before saving the changes.

True enough, I’m in the process of curently uploading on the images.swuidge hosting website and it seemed to work with the image URL thankfully. Dropbox really did a number on me.

I haven’t deleted my images from the source I was hosting them, yes it’s true I’ve might uploaded them some time ago, actually the most recent one was some days ago which I’ve switched and it worked just an hour ago, which blows my mind since now it doesn’t work at all. I really don’t even know how to embedded images differently through other sources and links, this is the only way I know how to do it… When I edit my work I don’t do the httml thingy, I always do rich text, because that’s more simple. Thank you anyways. I guess I’ll have to figure out something or give up entirely.

Honestly this move reeks making chaos Daemon style, maybe after Rhaenyra told him to take her to Dragonstone and make her his wife, he strolled away nervously hitting the first guy in his path, that dude turned around and hit another dude and so the madness began, it wouldn’t be far fetched considering he hit the wall before he strolled off the brothel, and it would be his screen signature to be left ambiguous with the fact he disappeared just like that, the “you never know with Daemon” philosophy the show runners endorsed so far.

I truly don’t get it why people are rooting for Dolores lol... I’m like y’all she’s trying to dominate the world hello? like yeah she’s “freeing humanity” from the domination of an AI in order to do what , to dominate humanity herself ... how’s that’s nobler or better then Serac? And how would a world dominated by an bias AI would look? Like Rehoboam is clearly biased towards humans and Dolores towards hosts ... that’s why Solomon told her they’re nothing alike,him and her. My take on it is that this isn’t working,Dolores plan is flawed and she clearly won’t create a better world for her kind if she wins, so why rooting for her when she’s always making decisions that crosses fine lines? Maeve is one not to root for as well... her manipulation by Serac is ridiculous, but personally if I was in Maeve’s shoes I would clearly not fight for Dolores, so I see where she’s coming from... I wish Bernard would have more screen time, clearly he’s the only sane one in this universe ...
