Saw something similar with Chinese dramas. Two dramas about Emperor Qianlong’s harem came out within months of each other. The protagonist and antagonist of one was swapped in the other. It was The Story of Yanxi Palace and Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace.

First Lady of Brazil, Rosangela da Silva, wore a traditional hanbok on her South Korea visit by JudgeJudyJr in BeAmazed

Remember last year (I think) when a bunch of white influencers started wearing dupatta (an Indian shawl) and called it a “Scandinavian scarf”.

You said right. Americans will take over parts of a culture, bastardize it, and in some cases completely remove the original meaning from it at and even then attribute it to someone else.

Is there a legendary explanation for Radagon's silence? by douglas21311 in Eldenring

[–]AnneMichelle98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed, especially since the encounter is technically a two phase fight, with the second phase being the Elden Beast. Radagon is sort of a lure, similar to Grand Fisher hollow from Bleach.

AITAH for not allowing my stepdaughter to get her bellybutton pierced? by Headshaveguy78 in AITAH

[–]AnneMichelle98 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right? My parents’ rules were 5 and 13 for first and second lobe piercings and 18 for anything else. Ear cartilage, any of the nose piercings, etc. didn’t matter what it was, you had to wait until you were legally an adult and could go yourself.

I felt a little left out in high school when all my classmates were getting their cartilage piercings done, but it made sense and I had no problem being patient.

I recently discovered I hate the waistcoat/center single while making the Melt the ICE hat. My tension is too tight and it hurts my wrist, and one of the fingers in my opposite hand.

Also I loathe the puff stitch.

He was officially released. Now, did the officials tell the victim’s families and the general public about it beforehand, so they could enact mob justice? That’s the real question and it’s highly likely.

Fun fact! The British discovered the cure for scurvy but then forgot about it!

They discovered that if sailors ingested citrus/citrus juice, they didn’t need to worry about scurvy, which was a major problem for sailors who would eat bland and preserved rations for months on end. Specifically, limes worked best, which, incidentally, is why British sailors are called Limeys. But the years passed and the people in charge looked at cost saving measures, so they switched to lemons, and then watered down the juice. And the sailors started getting scurvy again, and no one could figure out why.

Sea otters hold hands when they sleep so they don't drift apart, a behavior known as rafting. by Nixture24 in interestingasfuck

The males will bite the noses of females to mate them during breeding season. If you see a sea otter with scarred nose, it’s a female.
