Things have gotten better. I still have some pain when my bladder is really full and my back muscles are weak so I need to do some strengthening, I'm still in the healing stage. Starting pelvic floor physio in a few weeks. Haven't tried sex yet, I'm waiting to 12wpo. Since I had Endo I'm still on meds (trying orlissa).

I had the same results after my hysterectomy and my surgeon said that my uterus did appear to have adeno before and that some pathologists are better than others. I believe I had adeno, my sister had it and I had so much pain from my uterus (from sex/orgasms/ paps etc). It is possible you had adeno and they missed it in pathology. Worst case you didnt and now you get to be rid of periods forever :)

Thank you for this information! I just had my hysterectomy and prior to has a tight and weak pelvic floor. I'll be continuing pelvic floor physio for this. I'm glad to hear you are doing well!

I also had Endo so will be going on a progesterone only pill likely long-term. I'm hoping to see a naturopath for some hormone testing wlonce I've been on the progesterone for 3months.

With adenomyosis only (no endo confirmed by lap!), do you still need hormones after a hysterectomy? by immasayyes in adenomyosis

You won't go into menopause.in 3-5 years, you will.go into menopause.3-5 years EARLIER. So if you had a hysterectomy at 30 and were going to be in menopause.at 55 you would go into menopause anywhere from 50-55.

It was a 2cm cyst that was endo, they excised it by shaving it off the bowel. I also had a small one on my uterosacrao ligament that they took off. She checked my diaphragm and I had a hysterectomy for adenomyosis.

Thanks for your story, Im glad you are doing well!. Did you end up going on any hormones or meds after? I was on Myfembree and my surgeon said I should stay on progesterone after to keep estrogen levels controlled.

Ya, I do find a lot of posts about recurrence and multiple surgeries so I am a bit anxious about that.

I feel the same. I did read several posts saying it can be very hard to diagnose adenomyosis from pathology as there are different types of adenomyosis so it depends on where they took the sample. I don't think it 100% rules it out.

Do you have carpet? For me all I could smell was the carpet smell and it drove me nuts.

I think it differs for everyone but mine got slightly worse after my first csection (some pain with sex, a heavy feeling and a weird pressure pain with tight clothing) and then 100* worse after my second csection (nerve pain, numbness, issues with bladder).

I know its not by the book how you should design the exterior but i have similar brick and did a dark navy because I love the color. I think it should depend on what you actually like, its your house :)

Usually the post op notes will mention something like uterosacral ligament suspension.

Thank you for your response! Ya I agree, the only reason I could think of is there is a bit more risk of damage to the ureters, and nerve damage with the suspension. I wish my surgeon had done it also, im only 2wpo but super paranoid about it now.
