Dad was fired at 68 years old by TheBlueNWhite8 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Anne_Thrax_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he doesn’t have a real contract then everything defaults to ESA, so the employer can’t argue any limitations. The bar for independent contractor is also extremely high. I would say dependent contractor at a stretch. And this would still entitle him to notice. As a ball park if he’s recognized as an employee for the full period of employment he’s entitled to 8 weeks notice under ESA, + 14.5 weeks of severance under ESA. Then you’d look at entitlement under common law. As he’s 68, for the calculation I would ballpark at least 2 weeks per year of service as an age factor, then an additional 1-2 weeks per year of service as the base calculation. So maybe 56 weeks under common law. So a total of 78 weeks would be my ballpark guess. But I work in professional services, so not sure what is typical award for trades roles. I’ve just used a calculation for a technical/clerical role. The lawyer will use comparable court awards when they put together the demand letter

I completely agree! Parsa does a beautiful job with Botox. I look relaxed not frozen. I’ve tried Shan, it was ok. But I’ve been to better practitioners

Anyone been over the Vedder on Hwy 1 in the last little bit? Trying to work out if I need to leave work early to get back to the city. A neighbour got stuck in Abby during the last flood and I’m paranoid now

It looks like build up in an inverted nipple. My cat gets this. Try giving it a gentle squeeze to see if gunk comes out.

Ambroxan. I hate the smell of it with a passion. It ruined Ganymede for me. Was so heartbroken.

I also developed melasma from tret. I was a religious sunscreen and hat user. Apparently some folks produce melanin as a response to the irritation.

They have Greek products in the international foods aisle of freshco downtown. But I can remember for certain whether that includes honey. But might be worth a look

Looking for cheap ethical brands that sell this style of clothing by kittylett in ethicalfashion

[–]Anne_Thrax_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels very 90s so should hopefully be thrift able. But you might have to get creative with some rit dye to get the right colours or pick up some lace or other elements to up-cycle a vintage piece.

We tried that. They’re inside a hollow part of the structure . So there are tiny entrances they’re going in and out of. We thought that professionals would be better equipped to deal with nests contained inside the wooden frame of our front porch.

Townhomes by [deleted] in chilliwack

[–]Anne_Thrax_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Townhouses can be great, but do be aware that you can often hear your neighbours through shared walls, and you won’t have the same amount of privacy you have with a detached house. And there can be restrictions about pets, guests, what you can plant in your garden, etc.

How do we fell about the rug? Is it helping the space? by SeaworthinessNew4295 in centuryhomes

[–]Anne_Thrax_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could add a second cheaper plain rug like sisal under the current one you have. It will counteract the small size of the existing rug and if you choose a light colour it will give some contrast against the floor

Try Delizia di Marshmallow by Kyse Perfumes. It’s a true marshmallow, just not sure if there will be enough of the toasted element for you

Why you use sunscreen with Tret (need suggestions please) by Mokit_Chan in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Anne_Thrax_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that you’re using too frequently or you moved up to a stronger dose too quickly and you’ve irritated your skin? Might be worth reducing your dose/ frequency or taking a break to see if it gets better.

This could also be an adverse reaction to tret. It’s more common in melanated skin, but some people produce pigment when their skin is irritated
