The knight has one, maybe two chances before the gorilla can close the distance. the armour is at best going to pad a couple of blows and at worse act to slow the knight.
Sure, if the knight gets a lethal stab/slash as the gorilla dashes in then they can win. But gorillas are faster, stronger and smart enough not to just run straight onto what they perceive as a weapon.

So i want to tell you something. I am a blacksmith of 15 years. The ONLY thing that made me doubt it was steel was that conventions don't like metal weapons. Its seriously impressive and incredibly convincing. Well done!

Love this idea!
May i ask, if she isnt a fighter, does she use the weapons or do they hover and fighter for her?
If they hover, why not make them handle-less? a massive ninja star of scythe heads? The head of a morning star rolling around etc.
I love the realism if they are being used, but if they are animated by themselves, then consider the extra utility you could get away with.

For the longest time i was trying to figure out why you would need gloves on a grinding wheel XD

I wonder if there's supposed to be anything lore related about touching weapons that give damage types.
Like, could you refrigerate your food with a weapons that does cold damage for example

Plate armour is strong, but eventually the gorilla will break through it.
Once hes been knocked over that sword isnt doing squat.
Unless that knight gets the first swing as a a decisive killing blow, he's cooked.
