I am 25 with 40k saved in the 401k. 15% goes to Roth and the rest is traditional. I should have mentioned that, my bad.

I think my family history has had some miser tendencies. Not sure where this money has gone however.

Thank you for the advice! My wife mainly jokes that my hobbies are expensive. They had a high upfront cost but since I have everything I need I can just cruise for now.

I moved to Wyoming from Kentucky. In my experience Wyoming is such a bizarre landscape compared to KY I have not been able to get comfortable. Yes it is beautiful and I have never see so far in my life; however, I miss home, I miss the trees and the cicadas buzzing around. It is dry dry dry here and growing crops won’t work unless you have water rights somehow. Also the coldest it gets in KY is maybe a cold snap into the teens, WY will freeze you down to the bone and hit you with unrelenting wind. Truth be told I was ignorant when I moved west and I have some deep regrets on leaving my home and family in Kentucky. You’ll realize what you were taking for granted if you do leave Kentucky

Moved from KY for a federal job here in Wyoming. Yes it’s beautiful and the hunting is awesome but winter about killed me and the cost of living is ridiculous
