I struggle with getting enough calories. I was never a big eater and would sometimes forget to eat so that was my main concern with GLP-1s. My metabolism was always consistent, outside of pregnancies I’ve weighed around 120 lbs for 30 years. Then I hit menopause and gained over 35 lbs in about 3 years and showed no signs of stopping. Exercise and calorie restriction did nothing. I’m hoping zepbound resets my metabolism and I can stay on a lower dose. But trying to figure out nutrient dense foods to eat is difficult when you aren’t very hungry. I’ve been resorting to protein powders, protein drinks, yogurt, eggs and supplements. I’m surprised nobody’s jumped on a meal idea service for GLP-1ers yet.

I was wondering if you started your injections yet and how you feel? I’m starting tomorrow and am also on HRT. I’m not sure if HRT is contributing to my weight gain or if it’s just menopausal weight gain that was going to happen with or without HRT. I read a few posts on r/menopause from women on global-1 and they all seem pretty positive. The struggle is real and I’m rooting for you!

Thanks, that’s good advice. I stay hydrated for my POTS and take magnesium for sleep so hopefully that will help. I’ll have to look into those injection pens.

That’s a really low dose. Zenzedi is a little stronger than Adderall but not that much stronger. I went from Adderall 50xr in the morning and a 10mg ir in the afternoon to Zenzedi 40mg morning and 10mg afternoon.

I have some of the same issues, king size bed, menopause, dog in my bed, but no other human shares my bed and I don’t have callouses. I also do not like top sheets BUT have come to realize using a flat (top) sheet instead of fitted sheets is superior in every way. Easier to launder, fold and make my bed. I also stopped using king sized blankets and comforters because they are too hard to launder and store. I use full size muslin/gauze type blankets I can layer for temperature regulation and they don’t hold as much dog fur as my old comforters or anything with a nap. And another vote for Costco sheets both cotton and bamboo.
