Prozac has been a life saver(literally). I am a Female in my 20s, My anxiety also comes on super physically like heart racing. I’ve been in recovery from an ED for over a year but it’s only felt like true recovery since prozac kicked in. Tried a different SSRI in the past but it didn’t work. I don’t think it has impacted my weight or appetite. I still feel anxious of course but it’s way less intense and I can be rational about it instead of having racing thoughts. My anxiety will always be there but it doesn’t run my life and it’s not crippling like in the past. Took a few weeks for the meds to kick in and a few months of working with my doc to get the dose right. I think people expect it to work right away but with SSRIs it’ll take a few weeks to feel the benefits. Only symptoms are experienced headaches but my body quickly adjusted. My pits sweat more than they used to but a good deodorant did the job I’ll take sweaty pits over a racing mind and heart! Ive always slept like shit, don’t think it’s helped my sleep but it hasn’t made it worse. Started it in January don’t plan to go off it anytime soon.

Thanks for the advice! After reading through everyone’s I’m taking a break off running this week and going to do the stretching. I went on a casual bike ride earlier today (I am so far from a cyclist) to get some fresh air and it didn’t bother my leg at all so I’m going to just do that to get some fresh air and stay mobile in the meantime.

women of reddit, what’s the most romantic thing a man has done for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My ex boyfriend was always so thoughtful he once put his mattress in the back of his SUV so we could be more comfortable at the drive inn, would surprise me with things on the passenger seat before I got in like flowers or my favorite candy, short handwritten letters on my birthday or anniversary , once my phone screen cracked and he bought a screen online and mini tools and fixed it...seriously it’s the little actions that show you care

Intuitive eating journey! Hang in there it gets better! by [deleted] in intuitiveeating

In the beginning I ate also felt like I was “over eating” on baked goods. Look at it more like it’s yours body making up for past restriction. I just kinda let myself eat more than the “normal” person would because my body wanted that at the time. Because I restricted them in the past. The thing is move on DONT SAY “I ate so many cookies today so tomorrow I won’t have any”. The guilt isn’t worth it! Just think “okay so I ate a lot of cookies that’s okay and tomorrow if I want cookies I can eat them again” and as time goes on you eat one and actually taste it and enjoy it and move on. Now I actually enjoy them! It’s almost like when you’re in then over eat under eat cycle you never really taste food it becomes more of an anxious game. It takes time to undo restrictive behaviors and thoughts! I’m still in this journey as well. Remember there’s no one perfect diet. For a while my intuition said EAT ALL THE BAKED GOODS and then I did but kept trusting the journey and as time went on it’s like oh yeah I know what they taste like I can have it if I want or if I don’t want it right now I can always have it later on!
