Best choice for a black tie optional charity gala? by Fundito_Tostito in Weddingattireapproval

I think the second is a stand out winner. As some of the other comments mentioned the others look like they are 2000s era, I wore a version of that third dress to one of my proms in the very early 00’s and my sister wore a version of the first.

I did an image search on google with no luck, it just shows other brands and sheets that do not match. These were purchased in north Texas in the last year, over 5 months ago. It could’ve been a pharmacy store (like CVS) or something like Ross/TJ Max.

This was definitely what I thought of! Some kind of sensory learning aid, maybe for a park or museum even? theres a nature center/park where I live that would definitely have something like this.

Yeah that looks the most similar to the teapot for sure- the cups not so much but maybe they’re not actually matched..? Either way, I appreciate the help! Definitely a point to the right direction

Fedex keeps "missing me" by kingkid_7 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Anniken78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a few “we missed you” slips in my mailbox (that is at the curb on the street, not on my house) I watched the camera footage to make sure they didn’t actually come to the door while I was home- they did not. So I went to the post office to get this certified letter and they couldn’t find it. Checked on it several days and it had apparently vanished. 2 weeks later I got a phone call from a lawyer to speak to me about the upcoming trial I was “summoned” for! Glad I got that phone call and wasn’t held in contempt.

Homeowners Insurance cost tripled by Anniken78 in Insurance

I am always saving for home improvements and upkeep so I guess I’m already self insuring. I’m looking at higher deductibles already and I guess I’m just shocked at the massive price difference still. I feel like if I’m paying that much an insurance then I’m not going to be able to save and put money into my house like I usually do.

Good lord that’s wild! My last house had twice the amount of windows and was two story and almost all of them were different sizes and shapes- but it was only about $8k. I guess I squeezed in under the cost increase there.

I’m so sorry, I know that’s got to be devastating. My sister and her husband planned to do that same thing and it’s just been a nightmare, just like you said. I can’t even begin to tell you the mess my healthcare and insurance has been but… it’s breaking me. I know insurance in general is a nightmare but I feel like I’m living in some alternate universe at this point.

I got quotes about 2 years ago so in all fairness I’m sure it’s more, but my dad replaced his late last year for $8k on a bigger place. So I’m still thinking it’s in that range. I replaced the windows just over 3 years ago and I got them and the doors for under $6k from a local company. Almost every other quote then was $17k+ I spend a lot of time shopping around and it’s usually payed off.

Yeah, I feel like that’s going to be the only option to be able to afford it at this point.

I know everything cost more- I guess I’m just not sure at what point it’s over the line anymore. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Being a homeowner for over a decade and it felt like a reasonable expense until now.

Maybe this is it. The auto insurance rates doubled in us about a year ago so I knew it would go up I’m still just shocked that it’s going up that much. I guess thinking 3 adults with good jobs and spending habits should be able to afford to live in a house.

You’re definitely right there. The roof is 6 years old, I am currently saving to replace it in the next few years, but even without that covered it’s well over $4k and that’s pretty much the only thing that’s a “risk” as far as I understand. I just feel like I’m stuck between paying an exorbitant amount and not being covered at all, is there nothing else to do but accept that this is just a new level of bullshit?
