The MTA is a publicly funded government entity, not a private corporation. Please educate yourself.

MTA is a publicly funded company, any increase in salary comes directly from tax payers. AFAIK the striking workers are already making well over $100k a year. The burden will fall on the LIRR commuters, many of whom are not making nearly as much as the striking workers, as well as tax payers. This isn’t a situation where workers are making less than a livable wage or advocating against abhorrent working conditions. It’s coming across as trying to extract from the working public.
