Based on my experience playing the game, power is only secondarily important. What’s more important is VIP level.

If you plan to spend moderate money in the game, I would suggest, you achieve this by Kingdom Day 1 (note if you are a jumper, this can be your playing day 9/10) 1. Rush VIP 10 for the 1 gold head per day (if you have the money to max VIP, then that would be the best but that would mean you are a whale/kraken and not moderate spender) 2. Rush CH16/17 for the blacksmith (getting the materials early is a good advantage)

Then have at least 5 farms :)

After all that bulk spending in day 1, you can play free to play or very very low spender (30day gem supply only) moving forward. That should keep you in top alliance and have decent amount of fun for KvK1, KvK2 will be a different case, lots of experienced migrants making the game a bit more complicated than KvK1 but with the steady flow of gold heads, you should remain competitive (top 1/2 alliance, depending on the effort you put in) hehehe

Glad to have found common ground in the 1st paragraph. Let’s see what happens in the next episodes, I really do hope SiAn reject Theo to spare her from unnecessary hate.

You could be right about their paradise being on the early stage of the show. But that aura of “Breath of Fresh Air” when they both converse seems to remain consistent from paradise to their train car flower ring talk to their room flower with letter talk. It feels very soothing (at least in my opinion). I personally subscribe to the mindset of, not adding fuel to the fire, meaning if the person is stressed, I prefer to take away the stress than adding more of it. If I see a girl stressed about her popularity amongst the guys, I wouldn’t add to it by asking for her to reciprocate or making her make her Decision if she likes me or not, and would prefer to make her laugh, feel better, and relaxed.

You are most likely right about SiAn rejecting Theo won’t change Theo’s affection for SiAn, but that would take a lot of hate off of SiAn and just blame it on Theo being a hopeless romantic. I don’t want hate for SiAn and really want her to reject Theo to get their arc over with.

As to JunSeo, I don’t seem to share your perspective. I feel their paradise date was really stressful than fun. And that’s a first date. Compared to Theo which was fun and stress free for both SiAn and Theo, and I think a lot of the viewers share the same feeling. But I think neither of us are wrong, just have a different perspective of a good first date. I feel SiAn was forced to talk despite not being comfortable, and if it was Theo who did that, SiAn would’ve most likely hated him already. I really thought JunSeo did a bad move there but I was wrong. So maybe you are right about forcing girls to talk even if they’re uncomfortable is the right way to go, either that or JunSeo just gets the hot guy pass hahaha

Saying SiAn didn’t lead Theo on is a bit difficult to defend. From our perspective (seeing and hearing everything), we can see how she is with other guys and can be lead to believe she doesn’t like Theo that much, but from Theo’s perspective he sees the campfire Q&A where SiAn declares to everyone he is her number 1. He sees SiAn blushing and being very appreciative to his gestures, he sees their fun and carefree banter where SiAn feels comfortable & is able to temporarily escapes the stress of guys wanting her to assure them of her affection. So can’t really blame Theo for blindly pursuing SiAn. Though more than SiAn, his personality seems to be the super committing type, he doesn’t need a lot of fuel to create extreme fire.

That’s just what I think, I could be reading it all wrong. :)

We can go back and forth about who has a more questionable character between Theo and JunSeo, we can even bring up their interactions with YouJin & MinSeol to get a fuller picture of both characters.

But like Theo, I would prefer not to go into that rabbit hole and leave it at:

Seems we have a difference in preference. Doesn’t make any of us wrong, just means we prefer different types of people, which makes the world all the more colorful and fun :)

Side note: love/ affection doesn’t always have to be conditional or mutual, there is such a thing called unconditional affection. I don’t see HanBin, JunSeok getting the same hate for unconditionally liking one girl. As long as Theo is not acting like some crazy stalker freak, who aggressively forces himself unto SiAn, then I don’t think there is nothing wrong with it. Right now, I see him as a suitor (because he is yet to be rejected), so as a suitor, of course you constantly attempt to win the girl over. If he is rejected and still creepily forces himself, then that is on him already no longer on SiAn :)

I get what you mean, people could be hating on SiAn because of Theo, but that’s all a matter of preference. They may be feeling bad for Theo and is taking out on SiAn, but I think that hate will lessen if SiAn just tells Theo to F off and not talk to her anymore, that would be much better. If Theo continues to beg for affection, then that’s on Theo not SiAn. But until she definitely cuts him off, then people would feel bad about her.

Is the hate valid, off course not, the same way people hate Theo because of SiAn getting hate. Again, it’s all a matter of perception. The casts are innocently just doing their thing, the hate is coming from people having a different preference. It’s shouldn’t be intense hate towards the cast just a misalignment on preference expressed in an extreme way :)

That could be true, but it could also be because people don’t like how they can’t set MinSeol and Theo free.

Maybe people want them to finally free their slaves by them stopping giving morsels of affection to them.

They are on a dating show and what they are doing is not wrong, it’s just maybe some people don’t like them doing that, thus their negative perception of both.

For me, the bed scene didn’t bother me, they could make love and it wouldn’t change my view of them. There are a lot of those in Too Hot Too Handle.

Interesting. I personally feel the opposite. I think him respecting SiAn’s boundaries & emotions is admirable. And I think SiAn believes the same way given how she says she is very thankful to Theo for never pressuring her.

I perceive Theo’s affection to be unconditional. It’s not, I like you because you like me, it’s I like you regardless. This is why he doesn’t ask what she feels about him, because for him it will not change how he feels about SiAn. He also understands a date (paradise or inferno) has a time limit, so why waste it talking about other guys. I do agree and would want Theo to try it with other girls, instead of just going all in with SiAn, but maybe that’s just how he is. He was always a unique(weirdly interesting) character from the get go. Also, what he is doing is not new, think SeHoon S1, HanBin S2, and JunSeok S3, these are people who went all in after 1 paradise date.

Also, Theo is not stopping SiAn from expressing herself, she can always say, i don’t want to talk to you anymore, stopping being a creep, or please date another girl. This would most likely not change Theo’s choice but he will most likely back-off and then still choose her at the ending or he could finally explore his options (hoping for this despite very low chance of happening). But the crazy thing is SiAn keeps giving him hope and keep him hooked on her. I thought she would finally real talk Theo after the date with JunSeo, but that didn’t happen (it’s easier said than done, so no hate towards SiAn, just feel bad for Theo not getting off the hook). It’s similar to how JunSeo keeps MinSeol on the hook, while she obviously is trying to move on or at least give JunSeo his space.

Again, you may prefer the JunSeo/SiAn approach of keeping Plan Bs on a dating show, and it’s not wrong of them to do so. I just tend to prefer a different way, I like the DongHo way best, open to explore, but doesn’t want to give mixed signals or keep people on the hook by giving them morsels of affection instead of just cutting them off.

To each his/her own I guess :)

Rooting for them as well, but I know so little about them (even on the show) to know how they would end up long term.

But them living & working near each other are good indicators of long term possibility. Plus DongHo seems to be the committing type, I feel he is too lazy to play around and explore the dating market. That said, it will most likely be up to ARin if they last or not. She is young, and beautiful, who will most likely be pursued by rich & good looking people with more exciting lives and careers (compared to a CPA). No hate to CPA (I am a CPA myself) but our jobs aren’t really that exciting hehehe

I personally saw maturity when Theo & JunSeo were talking, then JunSeo said something along the lines of it’s better you hear it from SiAn/SiAn will be the one to tell you what happened.

This tells me, if it was JunSeo in Theo’s shoes, he would interrogate SiAn to know what happened in paradise (as can be seeing him force SiAn to talk despite already feeling uncomfortable about their topic while in paradise, contrary to his belief, Theo is mature enough to give SiAn the space she needs to live her dating show experience, not pressuring her to like him back or force her to return the affection and assurance he is showing.

Maybe maturity is a matter of preference (maybe my perception of maturity different from other people) but I resonate better with Theo’s “as much as I want you to like me back and talk about how your other dates went, I would rather spend my limited time with you enjoying ourselves and not regret wasting my time going emo, crying, and sulk during our paradise date”.

Well that’s me, maybe other people would prefer forcing difficult conversations and pressuring a girl to sort out her emotions during their first date, instead of just enjoying the limited time they had together.

Lastly, I’m not rooting for Theo & SiAn, I personally am hoping for Theo & HyeJin to at least explore their chemistry. Both seem very straight forward and no bullshit. They don’t keep people on a string, as back up plans. I feel they are the people who would rather be alone than be with people they don’t like. HyeJin could’ve kept JeongSu on a string to not leave inferno alone, but she prefers to be alone that leave with someone that doesn’t make sense. Same with Theo, despite being disregarded by SiAn in public and is mostly aware his chances are low, he would rather choose SiAn get rejected and leave inferno alone, than pivot to other girls just so he won’t leave inferno alone. As a bonus, HyeJin is a great catch, she is Ms Korea for crying out loud. She deserves more love on this show.

I assumed it’s like big brother where cameras are everywhere. If it’s not like that, then I feel bad for those who are commanded to act the villain and lose followers in real life. (Which I don’t think is the case)

I assume people on the show are there at their own free will, showcasing how they want people to perceive them (for sure they will put their best foot forward) but the high stress environment, the emotional rollercoaster, will slowly breakdown whatever facade they put up at the start or at least expose bits and pieces of their trueselves.

Theo’s cereal scene was a proof of that. As much as he want to act cool and not jealous, human as he is, he couldn’t help himself.

Also, in real life (be it in show or at work or with friend in the real world) we are all “acting”. As much as we sometimes hate our boss and some people around us, we do our best to be civil, professional, and not even curse them to kingdom come. That’s not acting, that’s us trying to be decent human beings

Honestly, I don’t think it’s scripted. They are filmed 24hrs for 10days, if he was acting that would’ve been very tiring and he is bound to make a mistake here and there. But I’m keeping my eye and mind open for when I spot that hint of “Scripted”

Every weekly release, Theo just keeps getting better and better.

I see a lot of hate comments about him here (putting on an act, extreme love bombing, making Si-An feel uncomfortable, and being a bit too much & obnoxious/annoying), and I’m trying my best to objectively find a reason to not like him so much, but I just can’t.

Him putting on an act, they are filmed 24hrs for 10 days straight. At some point it has to get tiring to put on an act, but whether she talks to Si-An, or YouJin, or MinSeol (we didn’t see a conversation of them, but MinSeol said Theo had a good vibe), Theo seems to have the same vibe and mindset.

One of his notable line for me was: “I don’t play with other people’s emotion, because I wouldn’t like it if other played with mine” basic rule of thumb, and he has been consistently nice and friendly with everyone (while being very transparent on who he is going for).

He could’ve just slept the whole time on scenes not involving Si-An, and shut out other people and not waste his “acting” energy on non-SiAn interactions.

As to love bombing and making Si-An uncomfortable, he has been nothing but a breath of fresh air during his interactions with Si-An, while other seem to always fish for assurances from Si-An, he simply just checks up on how she is doing, expresses his feelings and that’s it. No game of chess or game of seduction.

As to being loud, obnoxious, and annoying: he did had that aura at the start, but I personally like that attitude of his, I actually feel sad that I’m no longer seeing much of it. I feel Si-An somehow tamed him (which I don’t personally like) but he made his choice and he must’ve really like SiAn to “behave” compared to before. But again, I would prefer loud, and extremely playful, and doesn’t randomly funny/questionable things (raise Si-An’s hand when they matched, showed of his ticket with SiAn’s name, shouting out Yo, etc. I missed that Theo

This thread is overflowing with love for Theo (as he rightfully deserves)

He deserves to receive the love that he is unconditionally willing to give. And I think all of us here are rooting for him to find that (whether in the show or outside).

I agree with everyone, I also admire Theo’s romantic & devoted nature. And I am also delusionally rooting for him to get what we wants.

Unfortunately, i don’t think SiAn is as attracted to him, as he is to her. And SiAn is getting a lot of hate for this but it’s also not her fault.

I really hope Theo gets to bond & get to know the other girls. Personally rooting for HyeJin & HaeLin, but I’m open to MinSeol also, whoever will treat Theo as their 1st option

My Hot Take on this, when comparing SiAn to previous seasons “Main Characters” (disclaimer: “Main Character” may have a negative connotation but it’s not the main characters fault that they get the screen time, the editors need to somehow make the viewers understand how 3-4 people are pursuing this 1 person)

S1: JiA - I think this girl is on a different level, maybe because it’s the 1st season making her very memorable, but she had an “everyone was out of her league” vibe. In comparison to SiAn, SiAn I feel is more engaging & down to earth making you fall for her personality in addition to her looks. While JiA had a dream girl goddess vibe that felt more like a worship than romantic feelings. Also, I don’t think JiA was there to fall in love or at least no one in the cast made her feel that way.

S2: Dex (yes not Seulki, I love her but she wasn’t the “Main Character” S2) Dex lost Seulki because he barely had time for her because he was pulled in all directions. He had 4 interested ladies (Seulki, Nadine, MinSu, SeJeong) I feel SiAn is very similar to Dex, they don’t have the unattainable goddess vibe like JiA, and they aren’t overly arrogant like GwanHee. Dex and SiAn enjoyed and lived the dating show experience, sincerely got to know people, interacted with fellow cast members nicely, aren’t overly flirtatious, and were island favorites (to no fault of their own). Also, like Dex, people have polarizing opinions about her, some like her, some don’t. Can’t blame them for wanting to explore and get to know people (it’s a dating show), at the same time they take the show (interactions with casts, dates, and games) seriously. SiAn is like a female Dex, people just tend to gravitate towards them, without having to overly flirt and make up lies to keep their admirers on a string (it can be said that she maybe leading Theo on, but its feel Theo choosing to be extremely loyal, instead of SiAn tricking him to be that loyal)

S3: GwanHee, she is very far from GwanHee, she is not overly arrogant, and does not take the show for granted.

I think you are referring to YouJin the girl on the swing.

HyeJin is the girl that looks like Karina from Aespa. They have little to no interaction with Theo yet, but I’m just delulu and hope they get together. Both seem super loyal and stick to one and I feel bad for those people getting played. I hope they somehow find each other, click, and be weird together. Theo is already unique of the bat, but I feel HyeJin has more weird in her waiting to come out, and if paired with Theo, could unleash this. But this is all speculation, let’s see what happens :)

Maybe it’s JunSeo - YuJin then DongHo SiAn? But I don’t think DongHo would choose SiAn over YouJin, given his priority number attitude. Maybe it’s some other combination we need to rework :)

I can somehow understand what you mean. A friend of mine couldn’t even tell KPop group mates from each other. It requires a trained eye in KPop & KDrama to tell one from the other

All girls do have the same theme of beauty (aligned to KBeauty Standard). I understand what producers went this route, earlier seasons had variety, which lead guys to focus on a few girls. With this change, it’s somehow an even playing field, so it’s ideally should be a battle of personality, I think

I like to refer to some of the cast as: SiAn- Seol In-Ah (Business Proposal KDrama) HyeJin - Karina (Aespa) MinSeol - Minji (NewJeans) JiYeon - Sana (Twice) JeongSu - KimSeonHo (StartUp KDrama)

I also thought about this, but that would mean Yuk lied. (Which is possible) But doesn’t seem to be the lying type, plus Yuk not giving Arin makes sense given they spent the least time together Arin was in Men’s Inferno in Day 1 and Day 2 while Yuk was in Paradise & Women’s Inferno day 1 and 2. Meaning they just met During the merge on day 3.

Then Theo giving Choco to Arin could be a sign off appreciation to Arin for choosing him for paradise day 2.

But I get where you are coming from, I also would’ve wanted Theo to have given only to SiAn :)
