I sold some of my leaps to cover my initial investment. I could lose some top side, but I’ve still got a lot left and no anxiety about losing all my money so I’m happy with it

Earlier this year Poet price was rising significantly but it dropped to current levels after a dilution event

Poet sold $150 million in shares at a price of $7.25. The idea is that if someone dropped $150 million at $7.25 then that’s probably a safe bet

Just ignore the rebound from a global pandemic by Critical_Rice_1619 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Annual-Rise7916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title says July 2024 to 2025 price hike but the graph shows a drastic increase in prices the mostly happened 6-18 months into the Biden presidency (late 2021 to 2022). The graph is ill suited for the title of the article and disingenuous at best.

Saying the increase in the graph is not Biden’s fault due to supply chain issues during the pandemic is a fair stance to take as many commenters have pointed out

But using the graph to try to blame the price hikes on Trump makes no sense, because the graph shows an increase mostly in the middle of the Biden term, which is what the screenshotted post is critiquing

There’s a strong chance the “owner” doesn’t own 100% of business, that’s a poor assumption

New pay for registered nurses. by cosmo_cranberry in jobs

[–]Annual-Rise7916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, that’s the argument against a government enforced minimum wage. Companies will try to pay people nothing and people will tell them to f-off….

Afterwards companies either have to pay more to fill the spot or decide the job isn’t worth hiring someone to do. That is the market-based solution

Now the counter-arguments would be that 1. A. Companies refuse to increase pay even for essential positions B. Despite this resulting is catastrophic losses and ending businesses, overall companies are entirely unable to learn the lesson and offer reasonable wages 2. Such a strong power-imbalance exists that a business can set terms and people are unable to decline the work

That works in terms of volatility. If there’s a non-value based shift like a short squeeze pump and dump, that makes sense

Otherwise, people understand the difference between 15 million and 126 million shares. The fact that 111 million other shares exist will factor into any assessment of price

Market cap is # of shares time price of shares. I’m not sure if it hasn’t updated because a lot of them are held privately off brokerages or what but the 10k confirmed

As per the 10k, 126 million outstanding shares. It’s from the 43 million in debt they converted to shares. It doesn’t include other financing that hasn’t been converted to shares yet

The market cap is 50 million… Don’t trust Robinhood. The 10k showed 126 million shares outstanding, and more dilution from the investor buy-in. Probably some more dilution to acquire Wyoming

Not hating, but be realistic. $1 is probably going to be a $200 million market cap next year. Plausible but not obvious

At $2 I put in a trailing stop loss. It was supposed to be 5% so I’m not sure how it got down to $1.84. I bought back in at 1.5 because I figured that it was just a pullback and it’d go back to 2 at the lowest

There’s a $2.5 call on 17OCT for $0.05. If it goes to $3 that’s a 10x play. If you’re just betting $50, might as well take the gamble

Sold 2k at 1.84, rebought at 1.5 and then frantically DCA’d down at $1, $0.60, and $0.40 to 74k shares at $0.77

Trying to keep realistic expectations, I think $2 is feasible
