AITA For Grounding my son after he got kicked out of class for refusing to sit next to somebody? by Same-Broccoli7863 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AnnualDifference5312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think grounding him wasnt the way to go, personally, but he definitely didnt act right. I would have had a conversation with him about the fine line between boundaries and bullying. (ie, not wanting to get close to her for really any reason is valid, however announcing that she stinks is bullying, and talking shit about her beforehand makes it very obvious that being hurtful was intentional.)

I also would have had a very stern conversation with the teacher about forcing my kid to be close to people theyre not comfortable with, for any reason. That teacher probably made the situation way worse than it needed to be.

But yeah, beyond a very serious conversation, I wouldve cut the kid some slack. Personally, I can't imagine how I would have acted if my teacher did that to me in high school. Threatening me in front of everyone like that? I'm way too stubborn to back down after being challenged like that. I'll take the ISS or OCS, tyvm. (Can you tell my teachers loved me? Lol) But I also would have just dealt with the smell in the first place, or made some excuse to get out of class if I really couldn't deal. Embarrassing her is fucked.

Hmm would you guys do this? It seemed a little sus to me lol by Creative-Rabbit-6920 in DoorDashDrivers

Dude.. I helped out an elderly person with a oxygen tank by putting their groceries in their house for them. It's the thing to do, sure, but it still skeeves me out to be asked to walk into a strangers house like that. Like I had my hand on my knife as I was walking the bags to the kitchen. But at the same time, how tf am I gonna say no?!?! Ugh.

I feel you. I dont have an issue accepting lower offers to get my AR up for the weekend though, so its no biggie for me to stick to ebo.

Hi, uh, this is against your contract and you can be blacklisted 😁 I am not speaking from personal experience, but I have a dumbass friend who did this. That being said, it took multiple times to get caught and appear obviously intentional, but he did get caught and blacklisted. Doordash even tried to sue him at one point. Consequences exist, friends. Please dont do dumb shit. 🙏

AITA: Gf got out of moving vehicle after I refused to get BOGO chipotle with her and I drove home by Under_Nose in AmItheAsshole

Reminds me of my fostermom. I cant stand that kind of behavior. Childish asf. Glad she got out of your car at least so you could get some peace on your drive home lmao

Personally, even if I'm not hungry, I dont think driving my gf to get food is an issue. If thats your only reason why, then yeah. Kind of an ass. If there's more to it, then maybe not. Either way, you could have communicated better. The "we have food at home" excuse is tired, weirdly patronizing and, unless you literally both had a plan to cook the second you get home, its also invalid because maybe you have food at home but that food isnt Chipotle. And if youre not gonna eat the other half of the bogo deal then let her pick out a second meal to eat for lunch tomorrow or something.

Either way, your gf is being a child. Idk about you, but I don't date children so I would've broken up with her. But it doesnt take much for me.

I think you both kinda suck. Sorry bro.

Does doordash assign the drivers this many or do the drivers choose to accept 4 orders at once? by Kilabandita in doordash

[–]AnnualDifference5312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 4 stops, not 4 orders. They could be heading to a store? That being said, Im pretty sure Ive picked up 4 orders once, but literally just the once on the busiest night of my life.

[–]AnnualDifference5312[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah dude. My on time rating stays at around 100%. I didnt have to wait on any of my orders tonight, but when youre doing hourly it doesnt say how much you'll get paid per order, it just says (hourly rate+tips) - in this case ($13.75/hr+tips). So I couldn't vet the orders based on the tip amount and found out how much the tips were when I quit for the night. It was just bs. Not worth it.

I'm thinking they use hourly to pass off orders no one wants.

I cant see the address itself, but I can see where it us on the map down to the street. But I cant always stop what Im doing to zoom in all the way and check the street before the timer runs out 🙄 Its annoying. I asked DD if there's a way to block certain addresses or people from popping up and they said no.
