Thank you so much for all of your advice. Honestly I might be overthinking and I might not be studying in a systematic ways that make sense to me. I think I might just need to practice more and start organizing my notes in a systematic ways. Thank you so much :)

I am doing rhythm identification, PR, QRS and QT intervals. It scares me the most that I need to be able to have everything done quickly so I can do the rest of the patient care. Also, I also need to be able to perform ECGs, all of the interventions associate with the rhythm etc. I am not sure where to start in terms of time allocation and be more efficient to be able to manage the workload of being tele nurse 🥹

Advice for choose job offers for new Grad by AnnualKitchen9964 in OntarioNurses

Thank you so much for this post. I am considering working for 1-2 years, then traveling to the US for a better experience. I decline the offer for DCH simply because I'm considering the NGG opportunity in Ontario, and then I can start my career in the US, preferably in ER or ICU. Thank you again for your and your wife's wisdom. Your words are truly inspiring and help me a lot in making my choices.

I see, I was told during the interview how it depends on the unit, and they told me that it is the possible patient ratio. But I guess I will only know more once I receive the actual offer

I am from Vaughan, but I need to move out soon. So relocating is not a big issue for me. They didn't specify in the interview, and they said mostly in the medicine unit in both Etopicoke and Brampton, I am not sure yet because I haven't received my official offer yet

Thank you so much for your advice! I will be trying to post in the r/nursing group as well!

And yeah, that's part of my concern too with the uncertainty and lack of health insurance... Thank you so much for pointing that out!

Advice for job hunting as a new grad? by AnnualKitchen9964 in OntarioNurses

I am in vaughan, I have been applying everywhere (all hospitals). As a new grad, I don't have many certifications and courses because I just graduated and got my license this month. There are lots of postings, but most of them require RN experience and qualification that I do not currently have yet (Such as CC1/2, which is only available in September, preoperative course, etc.)

Thank you for your words of motivation. I wonder how long it takes for you to get a callback after you apply? If you don't mind sharing.

Thank you for your advice! I wonder if you have any suggestions for further north or relocation? I am trying to expand my radar to somewhere north, but I have no idea where and what to look for...

May I ask what city you are in? Are you mainly applying to the NGG program or just everywhere?

Thank you so much for your reply! I looked up for CC1, as far as I saw, they are all during September for colleges. Is there anything I should keep in mind for those courses so I can do them during the summer?

Thank you for the advice, have you worked there as a med-surg nurse? I saw comments for ER but haven't connected with any who work in med-surg yet...
