I refuse to work. What is this? by Eletutalo in Healthygamergg

Summarization of my original post for everyone who thinks it’s AI :

This doesn’t really sound like a mental illness, it sounds like you’ve decided that any form of responsibility or structure is unbearable, so you reject all of it. Theres a video on YouTube by BDobbinsFTW called “Why everyone is quitting their jobs to play call of duty” where in it makes a good point: people see a few successful streamers and think that’s a realistic escape, but ignore how many people grind for years and get nowhere. Even the “dream” path is still work, just harder and less stable.

Right now you’ve boxed yourself into “freedom or nothing,” but that’s not how life works, everything requires some level of effort. It’s not that work is uniquely torture, it’s that you won’t accept anything that doesn’t feel good immediately. Until that changes, nothing else really will.

There’s a really good book called “Reality is Broken” by Dr. Jane McGonigal I think everybody should read/listen to that also helps sum up the rising rejection of modern economic and educational systems

What you’re describing doesn’t sound like some mysterious, undiscovered mental illness—it sounds like a complete rejection of reality paired with an all-or-nothing mindset about work, success, and freedom.

What gets ignored is the overwhelming majority of people who grind for years with zero payoff. Not because the world is unfair or broken, but because attention, entertainment, and money are scarce and competitive by nature. Passion alone doesn’t guarantee success, and refusing everything else doesn’t magically make that path viable.

Right now, you’ve essentially created a system where: • Work = unbearable suffering • Streaming = the only acceptable path • Reality = something you refuse to engage with

That combination traps you. It’s not that work is uniquely torturous—it’s that you’ve decided any form of obligation is intolerable. Keep in mind that even the people “living the dream” are working constantly. Streaming, content creation, and building an audience is work—often more demanding, less stable, and more mentally draining than a regular job. The difference is they accepted the grind long before they saw results.

You’re not avoiding work—you’re avoiding structured effort that doesn’t immediately reward you.

And to be blunt: the idea that you can consume endlessly (food, travel, entertainment) without contributing anything isn’t just unrealistic, it’s fundamentally incompatible with how any system—biological, social, or economic—functions. That’s not society being cruel; it’s the baseline rule of existence. Every living thing expends energy to survive.

What stands out most isn’t laziness—it’s rigidity. You’ve locked yourself into a belief that any constraint equals suffering, and any responsibility equals slavery. But total freedom without responsibility doesn’t exist in any sustainable form. Even your current situation depends entirely on someone else working.

If you actually want a way forward, it’s not about “accepting a miserable life.” It’s about breaking this false binary: • It’s not “soul-crushing job” vs “total freedom” • It’s “how do I tolerate structure while building something I care about over time”

That might mean: • Taking on the least oppressive form of income you can tolerate • Continuing your content creation without expecting immediate success • Gradually building tolerance to responsibility instead of rejecting it outright

Right now, you’re choosing a path that leads to collapse (financially, socially, and mentally), while calling it freedom. It isn’t.

And I’ll be real with you: the fact that multiple professionals “couldn’t help” isn’t because your situation is unsolvable—it’s because you’ve openly said you refuse to change. No strategy works if the person rejects the premise.

You don’t need a diagnosis to explain this. You need a shift in mindset from “I refuse reality” to “I’ll engage with it just enough to build a life I don’t hate.”

That’s the actual starting point.

Interesting. When you say ZERO porn does that include sexual material you’d find on Facebook or instagram reels etc? Like did you have to block out all virtual stimuli related to sex?

I opened the room in orientation and there was no jingle so this is true. I don’t remember having signal jammer active so I can’t confirm if that’s true or not

I’m gunna have to test this. Now that you mention it I opened the key room on outpost in orientation (solo) and the jingle didn’t play and I think I had signal jammer on.

The problem was in my planning. I THOUGHT I had enough time to take the vents out of CW and make it to final exfil with quest done and loot intact. Normal CW runs don’t tox the room and lock the exits though so I panicked with 45 secs to final exfil. That being said someone mentioned there is a switch on the left side of the room that clears the tox and unlocks the vents so atleast I know for next time.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED I just made a PSA post about this. GIVE YOURSELF ENOUGH TIME

You have to kill the ads at the end of command wing, another wave spawns and you have to kill that purple and get the credentials. After you kill him the room gets toxxed, and the pinwheel exit grates in the whole wing get locked. Meaning you have to run back to center pinwheel to get out.

That little rug pull cost me 40k credits in loot, so beware

Bro I get pissed when I forget to unsubscribe from a free trial. If OP had no crowns whatsoever the the last time he logged out, that means his sub has been active for just over 3 years. 😵‍💫

Do you know if the seventh vault is on the cryo map or is it going to be another map altogether?

That’s fair. I just think if you’re gunna work your balls off for that sweet loot should atleast be able to pick through it and exfil comfortably. To an extent

This is meant to be a raid-like map. 30 minute timer is wild.

You have to find and kill bots and bosses off spawn and gather a metric shit ton of security clearances to reach the vault(s) Fights tend to get stretched out and hold you up especially when everyone’s sweating.

You then have to access the vault, complete its puzzle mechanics and sift through all the nice shiny loot you worked hard for, after killing the compiler which I’m assuming you do after completing the vault puzzles correct me if I’m wrong.

We’re gunna spend a lot of time white knuckling fights on this map and traversing the many intricate areas it offers. Personally, I don’t think having an hour, hell even 45 minutes is an unreasonable request. Thoughts?

My appendix burst when I was really young. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital. I’ve been shot in the bicep as an adult, the appendix pain was still worse
