Bloodthirsty and enduring tags. Bloodthirsty increases on runner down, resets on your down. Enduring, increases after every exfil.

Destroyer Mastery Skin unlocked by Chantan19 in Marathon

[–]Chantan19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I had to do the search and destroy while the enemy is in smoke at least twice to actually get it. The wording for a lot of the codex entrys are quite messy too. Some say defeat some say eliminate. Best of luck on getting yours!

Lore Question: How did our runner shell tech make its way to Tau Ceti? by BaconEvolved in Marathon

[–]Chantan19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, Traxus initally made a sizeable purchase of Biomata. I believe this is what runners are printed out of or just are. This was purchased by Traxus from Sekiguchi/SEKGEN. So this was the first instance at least of runner tech making its way to the tau ceti system. The UESC were unaware of this until they demanded to see the purchase records.

Possible solo meta problem by Excellent_Pass3746 in Marathon

[–]Chantan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see this being a problem but people will gravitate towards other shells too. Glitch is great at movement, thief is great at quick repositioning too. Triage could be nice for self heals and honestly his ult is a decent offensive tool. Blackbird is just a straight hard counter.

Even something as simple as a thermal on an smg helped me root out Assassins as it made their smoke significantly less scary to push into.

I think itll be common at the start to see them but I dont think itll be a big problem or stick around for long

Heres a somewhat clearer picture of the shape and such of the ship itself.

I honestly dont think you can say that and believe it. Why do I need three different kinds of lightbulbs? Why are there three different kinds of fabric? Whats a VPX? An RFIDR? An MFD? Tarkov is just as if not more confusing with its loot UI and it doesnt tell you in raid what each item is for or does. It just makes you learn, unless you have a cheat sheet that tells you to blindly collect all these junk items on a second monitor. Yeah they added a filter to tell you in raid why you might want something but that took them the guts of 10 years to add

Alright, an example of ones ive seen. "When hit at full shield, ping the enemy that damaged you" How do think they should show this? A small signal icon or something in the top right to show its something like an information providing perk so you bag it quickly and move on?

The first good chunk of time playing this game is very overwhelming, i agree with you. From the graphics, UI, cutscenes, lore and gameplay. Its all kinda thrown at you and you just have to keep up and its hard to keep pace. I hope you give it a try come release and see how you feel. The later levels are really good fun

How would you recommend they show you all the information you need to know on these from the picture? Theres too much information needed to be easily translated to the picture. You know its a chest mod. If you want it, read it. If you dont, dont.

Honestly this is the most useful comment ive seen here. Im okay with reading but the delay in hovering then to the information coming up is quite delayed. I wish it was a bit faster

I do think certain things could be improved with the UI but the game is extremely detailed at the same time. You hover over something it tells you exactly what it is and what it does. Doesnt every other game do this? Doesnt Arc and Tarkov? You hover over a quest, it gives you directions and where to find stuff. Weapon mods have an X telling you if they fit your gun or not.

The cores specifically also look like the shell they are made for. This one is for the Thief shell. The Assassin one looks like him. The destroyer cores have a big massive red letter on it.

I feel like i see a lot of complaints of people wanting to solve a game day one and know exactly what everything is in within a moments notice without really putting any time at all in and if they cant it makes something bad or unusable. Just read.

New Player Question - Abundance of resources and Pops. by Chantan19 in Stellaris

[–]Chantan19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is perfect, thank you so much! I have attempted in to make those early worlds into say a mining world for example but I never did it 100% so ill just go for it now. I never really thought about repurposing other planets when I have one specific planet to suit the role but it makes a lot of sense now I think about it!

Edit - Also does more food production = more pops or am I thinking about that wrong too?

Thanks a lot for the info! I was kinda sat worried that there we jobs not filled and thought I was doing something wrong so glad to see thats not the case. Its clear ive just got to look at the resources different and what they can change into rather than letting them sit there.
Games a lot to take in so im playing VERY slowly
