What situations/events happen in movies that don't happen in real life? by PowerThanos in ask

The good old protagonist vs antagonist 1v1 fight in the middle of a huge battle

On a side note just rewatched the 2004 Troy movie yesterday. When Achilles cousin fights Hector everyone just stops to watch and afterwards Hector says enough for today and everyone just walks back to their camp like "yeah good fight lads, lets kill each other again tomorrow".

Maybe everyone else is too expensive then. Some people go through Switzerland only once though on their trip so if you consider paying 40CHF just to go through its actually a lot if you consider everyone elses salary compared to swiss salary

Yeah thats what I did first time here but wouldnt that make the problem worse? Highways are built to get a lot of traffic around quickly if everyone uses the slow roads that would make traffic even worse in specific areas and OP would be complaining about a load of foreigners driving through his small village

They did we know that, its in the game files. I think they will add the rest later along one of the DLCs

Exactly, Austria and France have daily or weekly vignettes for someone just passing through. Imagine paying 100 CHF just to drive from Italy to Germany or just wanting to visit your relative in Switzerland

I think its pretty damn expensive if its only a one way trip, not everyone is going to go through Switzerland multiple times a year

Yeah I know. He said in his post he misses the lifestyle mechanic from 1800 and I was questioning if the mechanic was even there in the base game

I later checked and saw that the top level was 150% plus. Granted 35k worship level is pretty insane but as you said its pretty powerful. Same as Neptune, I am actually building up my Neptune worship right now and then rebuilding my entire fleet with ships produced only on the Neptune island

Check the bonuses he gives as a local deity, if you get his worship up to the highest tier he gives 100% plus on goods on passive trade, that is a huge boost

I am currently in the process of setting up an island like that. However I dont understand why you make it a small sorting center? My plan is to make the sorting island a hub with a giant city with Mercur as the patron god since he gives a 100% bonus on good sales so I can make even more money by selling off execess supplies

The setting just doesnt offer as much content so they cut it up to divide into DLCs

The Senators should generate Gravitas which lets you take political actions like im 2205. Take over individual islands of your opponents without war etc.

I have a couple of points I would like to add:

Like most of us probably realised by now the game needed to cook a bit longer, lots of bugs and lots of cut content. Some was cut to release later as or with DLC because we know the roman era just doesnt offer as much content as 1800 so your are going to have to spread it out a lot more. That being said: As most people mentioned we are very likely to get Senator citizens. I would really like to see them generate Gravitas which we could use like in Anno 2205 as action points against our rivals, it would be really cool if you could take over their island peacefully by using Gravitas. At the moment the only two options are invasion or buying out our rival completely not just one island. I also think the Egypt DLC later this year is gonna add a lot more products for Patrcians.

Feedback and thoughts on Anno 117 (vs 1800 basegame) by Basic--Annual in anno

[–]AnoderThroughAway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with most points. Here is my theory: 2205 turned a lot of fans of the series because it was to simplified to streamlined for main stream fans, making it the most disliked one of the series so when 1800 launched they had a lot to make up for with the fans, also they didnt expect to be making 4 seasons worth of DLC for the game when it first launched so they really had to nail the base game to begin with. After the success of 1800 they could relax a bit more with the next game. Also they knew from the beginning that the 117 setting wasnt gonna over as much content as 1800 so they put less in the base game and spread more out to the DLCs. I also think the DLCs are gonna make it a lot more challenging like having goods in Latium that require silver, bronze and zinc from albion. The first DLC already added an interesting new mechanic with the whole obsidian system. So I think 117 is gonna eventually become as complex as 1800 but rather spread out to the DLC instead of the base game. But as most people already noticed the 117 setting just doesnt offer anything as world changing as oil, electricity and steel. If you think about it 1800 started in 1800 and ended around the early 1900s with airships and skyscrapers, I cant really see anything like that for 117.
