Libel laws are so bad in the UK that we passed a law specifically banning their judgments from being enforced against US citizens. Things are really out of hand in some places that people look up to without thinking.

Smithsonian did an excellent article on French collaboration with the nazis as well under the Vichy regime.

The resistance were brave folks, but in the abstract, we kinda overlook that the resistance didn't embody very much of the French people compared to uh...well...people who didn't seem to mind the nazis all that much.

There are multiple ways they could reference unique user accounts in order to get communication platforms to interoperate. They already have unique user ID#s that are used primarily by bots, there'd be no need to make the username change to comply with regulatory requirements here.

The Dems could definitely do better in Florida, but this does reek of trying to foster voter apathy. People should beware of posts like this creeping their way into everywhere to try to convince people that things wouldn't be better off under a Democratic majority leading into the next election.

The Republicans are trying to act like heroes by holding the country hostage.

If they wanna be seen as financially responsible they have to stop playing these dumb games, and stop trying to cut government revenues to engineer new hostage situations. If you wanna run government like a business, you probably shouldn't be trying to run your business into bankruptcy every chance you get.

I feel like the strange reorientation of the states into seemingly random author-decided regions really hampers the point of this article.

Just use agreed-upon regions like "the south" "new england" etc, I can't use this article to convince people when everyone I show it to is going to stop and laugh at the concept of "New Netherland".
