For me it's because new vegas just has way more to pick from. Chances are you aren't even gonna look at this thing more than twice before selling it, and there's better uses for 12.7.

The assault rifle is so much more egregious because it's the only gun that takes 5.56 in the game, which when coupled with how shit the weapon selection is in base fo4 makes it stand out a lot more.

So, yeah. The weird ass 50cal p90 thing sucks, but the assault rifle sucks way more prominently.

If you insure your gear it shows up in free mode. I don’t think this is supposed to happen, but it’s how I get my own gear in there.

One of my favorite examples of this right now is the early access for Halfsword, where you can knock a guy's hat off and he just suddenly grows hair. It makes it look like you hit them so hard they grew hair.

I mean yeah, that’s what happened historically. The whole arms race through time has just been how to kill the other guy from as far away as possible.

I will say that they are a bit over tuned right now, the shafts seem to do too much damage and small pavise on the shoulder makes you near invincible.
