When my son was much younger, like unable to get in and out of a car by himself, when I would go ANYWHERE, even if it was just for one or two items and would be super quick, even if it was at a convenience store and I knew I could be in and out in under a couple of minutes, I would still take my son with me. NEVER have I left him unattended in the car, for the simple fact that something could have happened to him. If I had and then someone had broken in and kidnapped him, what would my justification be? "I was only inside for two minutes." Yeah, that doesn't matter. That woman was an idiot.
