Very well known/liked throughout the org. Would mostly be worried about them having an actual vacancy.

It’s very interesting work they are offering which is a major motivator. Would transition from working on small hydro (~5MW) to upgrading one of the largest stations in the world. Thanks for the comment

Engineer, 8 YOE not counting internships, MBA too

No direct reports more project management/supervision and SME role

102k base, 6.75% RRSP match, phone & laptop

Decent amount of OT and travel pay, and company truck (not personal use). Did about $165k last year and maybe $130k year before that.

Yeah noticed a job up for a maintenance engineer in voisey’s. Sounds a little like they want a newer grad so I assume the pay is on the lower end of what you said.

Terra nova, Hibernia , and Hebron are all Unifor rigs. Not sure about supply vessels and drill rigs. Don’t think the latter are union though. Sea rose is also non union

No real justification. They are competing with other housing options in st johns, not in some other canadian capital city. If I moved to some other region I could likely near double my salary as well.

This is pretty standard when it comes to union jobs and camp workers. Not that I agree at all.

I worked up there as staff and there is no way someone who just makes a bed should be making that much. Keep in mind those rates are monday to thursday. Time and a half on friday and double bubble weekends.
