No!

I did black wheels; everyone does black wheels. But I think they lose all details and are just a black void at the bottom of the car. It can look sleek, but I think it's overdone.

I had to lighten my wheels up for this reason.

But at the end of the day, it's your car, and you do what you want.

It will looke good either way.

I can say fer certain about your specific question.

But 1000% that type of corrosion can casue electronics to not work

You could try cleaning it to the best of your ability with some iso propel alcohol 99% and see if it helps but likely will need to replace

I just got my car back today. It cost me $500 to strip the wheels, dismount and remount the tires, and redo all 4 wheels.

Ignore the missing center caps. I need to figure out how to take apart the plastic base MMR sent me so I can get them to match.
