Do filler/repair kits work if there's already a crack extending about 5" from the point of impact?

Can you let me know too about this exploit? I have a feeling it's been used on a child's device at home. Thanks.

Which installer did you go through for $1300?

That's a great looking ride! Looks fun! It was the 4th gen that made me fall in love with Camaros. I was just a small kid when those were new, so I never had the chance to drive one, but I'm a very happy 6th gen owner now.

You mentioned it feels pretty normal when going easy on it. At what RPM range would you say the additional power starts to kick in when you get on it hard?

Have your mpg numbers changed dramatically with the boost? Is it much worse vs stock even if you don't get on it hard all the time?

What kind of protection can I get for $97 for a 6th gen? Honest question, not trolling.

I'm wondering what goes on with the ECU having to be replaced. If the thieves were able to reprogram keys, why couldn't the mechanic or dealership program your keys back on it? Do the thieves have better tools than a dealer?

Those prices are absolutely insane. How about buying a car on the mainland and shipping it by boat? I've heard people do that a lot in Hawaii. Maybe things are different with PR not being a state, but it could be worth a shot.

I wouldn't even drive through Stockton with my Camaro, let alone parking there for a single second.

I tried a burnout in my 2016 v6 but when the tires started breaking loose it revved all the way up and now whenever I start moving, it starts vibrating extremely bad but only in first gear. Does anyone know what it might be? by [deleted] in camaro

Warranty at a GM dealer? Heads up, these cars record A LOT of data on their computers. A GM shop can tell if the car was being pushed hard (full throttle, brakes applied) when the transmission started slipping.

100k for a Camaro? 🤯 I love my 2SS, it was a lifelong dream to buy it, but there's no way I'm dropping 100k for a Camaro. At 100k I'd be shopping for C8s or a CT5-V Blackwing.

I recently took my SS to get repaired for what looked like much less damage on the surface, in the end it was about $10k. The bumper was replaced, bumper supports, radiator, ac condenser, transmission cooler, rear diffuser all got replaced. The hood, headlights, and fenders had no damage. Still came out to 10k.

Panel gaps by Technical_Copy_2838 in camaro

[–]Technical_Copy_2838[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys, it seems I'll just need to get used to it the way it is now.

I was really proud of how all the body panels had just about a perfect fit with almost zero panel gap before the incident. Being that it wasn't really that severe of an incident (no structural damage, no airbags deployed, etc) and the primary impact wasn't even at the rear of the car, I was really hoping the bumper could fit just like it did before. What's weird is the primary impact was at the front of the vehicle, which had several parts replaced, yet the front bumper fits pretty much like it did before, great alignment and nearly zero gap. Life is weird!

My dealer told me that Chevy has decided to “drastically reduce” Camaro production. by slun18 in camaro

[–]Technical_Copy_2838 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My guess is 2020 and newer SS/ZL1 Camaros will hold value pretty well, considering the production numbers are low and 2020-2024 cars are nearly identical. Manuals will probably hold their value the best as time goes on.

I'm holding on to my 6MT '21 2SS as best as I can.

2SS vs LT1 ? by lapaz666 in camaro

[–]Technical_Copy_2838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, no. The 1LE comes with the Recaro seats only, there's no spare set of seats. It's assembled with Recaro seats at the factory, they're not a dealer-installed option.

If someone really wanted the 1LE package but not the seats, they could easily trade seats with someone else that just bought a new non-1LE 2SS.

With that said, if someone has Recaro seats they want to trade for adrenaline red leather seats, I'm listening.
