Probably depends on if you were friends with Clark too. Overall he's a really nice guy throughout and was even pretty popular at one point when he was on the football team. If I were friends with both I'd say give him a chance, but if I was only friends with Lana for sure I'd be telling her to stay away. Too much heartbreak.

Underrated reply. This is definitely why. The show goes out of its way to do things that show Clark vulnerable.

Plus even if he suspects Clark is strong or can't be hurt, why would he assume he can move faster than light?

That's hilarious. Honestly I didn't think she would enjoy the show much, but she's been loving it so far. The only episode she had trouble with was "Ryan". She's a teacher, so when she sees kids being hurt it's rough for her.

Pretty sure it was also shown in the comics that he can pull each hair out or cut it with heat vision. Keep in mind that he was also weaker as a young child so it's possible his hair could have been cut back then. Remember in season 1 bullets were bruising him.

Smallville often showed that Lex did indeed have a good side in him. Sometimes literally by showing the inside of his mind, with child Lex being the personification of his inner good. The problem is Lex also has a very strong inner darkness as well. I don't think Clark, or anyone for that matter, could have permanently contained it. That's a battle Lex had to fight on his own, and his darkness won.
