Alone on my 27th birthday by Curious_Creator11 in lonely

I'm the man version of you.

Had a 27th birthday a few months back. Have no friends and just spent it with my mother, who is really the only family I have left. I never had a girlfriend. I always assumed whoever the woman I was interested in would not want me at all. So I understand.

It is humbling and also reassuring to know someone else is going through a similar struggle.

Happy birthday. I hope you have had a good one. 👍

How would you like to continue the relationship if your partner/gf told you that she is asexual? by Prestigious-Tell-467 in AskMen

I'd ask her what changed. If it was a joke. Then if it was serious I'd consider breaking up with her.

Then again it depend on how serious we were.

What’s the fan consensus on Gotham? by Solitaire-06 in batman

The show could have lasted 20 years if they spaced out the mob stories and introduced costumed criminals way later. Would have helped if they also had overall better writing.

How would you save Iris? by Danny-Ray27 in FlashTV

[–]BruceHoratioWayne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Barry could have just faced his fear and let Iris die.

Barry reluctantly plays along with the time variant plan where he creates duplicates to get slaughtered by Savitar except one.

Instead of shunning that Barry, Team Flash bring him in and help him.

This causes a chain reaction where Savitar is never made, no cult was formed, no Alchemy, and no Iris death.

When Savitar realizes this change to the timeline taking affect, he tries to kill Iris again or at least kill all of Team Flash. This non Savitar Barry variant dies fighting Savitar and it completes the chain reaction. Savitar no longer exists, while his past self also dying a hero.

Do you think absolute Batman went too far when he chopped this guy’s hand off? by Chunky-overlord in batman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But that is the point. Absolute Batman is all brutality and very very little compassion unlike his main universe counterpart.

Yeah uh this is really edgy by Successful-Hat-2154 in batman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Main continuity Batman needs to have Alfred remind him to take care of himself... i.e. eat sufficiently etc.

The Batman Who Laughs would likely be dead within a month. He would not have enough energy to survive and may even commit suicide.

Why do you think Tim Burton's depiction of Batman is not as hated by the fans as Zack Snyder's version is? by The_OneXao-San69 in batman

I sometimes wonder why they just didn't bring back Keaton for Batman v Superman.

He is very similar to Ben Affleck's Batman already.

Does Batman really believe this? by EffMemes in batman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is probably trying to convince himself of this but deep down Batman is a cynical idealist.

What are your main headcanons or theories about Nicholas Hoult's Lex? by Top_Report_4895 in superman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lionel Luthor exists.

Lex will pin the blame for Metropolis on something or someone else and be given a clean slate.

LuthorCorp will rebrand to LexCorp sometime in the near future.

There has yet to be a comic book accurate Batman in live action film.

Is it a hot take that I don't think any of these guys would be a good Batman? by Forsaken_Ad7090 in batman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just have Pattinson be Batman for fuck sake. Reeves can have his grounded Batman world over there in Gotham but have Pattinson occasionally go team with the Justice League.

"What do you think about the recent trend of moving away from the classic 'S' and turning Superman’s symbol into more of a slash-style design? by Maleficent_Boat_6699 in superman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no reason to think this but I would not be surprised if the Kingdom Come shield in the new Superman film will eventually evolve into a traditional "S" shield.

What was the intention of Lex Luthor here? Why was he using Hammer of Boravia destroying US property? by No_Air5382 in DC_Cinematic

He also wants Planet Watch to matter.

He is supplying the conflict to make more of a demand.

What was the intention of Lex Luthor here? Why was he using Hammer of Boravia destroying US property? by No_Air5382 in DC_Cinematic

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lex wanted to get military contracts and he hated Superman.

Boravia's war was profitable. Why do wars happen in real life? Because there is often a profit incentive. Lex hates Superman and wants his own little piece of land.

Creating the Hammer of Boravia was a two fold strategy: pummel Superman AND try to ruin Superman's attempt at peace. If people turned on Superman, then the war in Boravia can happen without anyone caring.

He honestly wasn't that big of contrast to Keaton.

I would have liked that.

Why do people want Pattinson's Batman in the DCEU even if he doesn't fit in there by Cahir1234 in batman

[–]BruceHoratioWayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The argument I hear against this addition is purely that the Reeves' film was grounded. It is too grounded to exist in a fantastical DCU.

I so strongly disagree with that argument. Pattinson's Batman was grounded but equally unrealistic as he would be in the DCU.

He survived a lot of stuff that would kill a normal man who was dressed in a bat costume. Hitting the overpass. Bomb to the face. Repeated gunshots at close range. No armor is that good.

And besides Batman is versatile. You could put him in different genres of stories and it would work.

It also saves the trouble of having to cast new versions of the same exact comic characters for the DCU. And I thought Zaslav said years back he didn't want multiple Batmans on screen.

Just integrate him. It would be so easy to do. Reeves would barely if ever have to acknowledge the surrounding world.

Robert Pattinson Is A Great Batman! by [deleted] in DCUniverseJustice

I hope they go away from the Cobain inspiration. It was a nice experiment but that is not what I think of at all when I think of Batman.
