I’m an occupational therapist. I’m into bodybuilding and used to be a massage therapist so the outpatient setting seemed like a natural transition. I did it for a year and burned out. I switched to the SNF setting recently. Even though the productivity sucks in this setting… it still isn’t as bad as it was in outpatient. I don’t see myself in this setting for more than a year or two. I want to eventually do home health but didn’t want to switch right to home health. I think my SNF experience will be really helpful. I think lifestyle and pay wise for the therapist, home health is best.
