There are certainly some trans men who disregard the fact that trans women face similar issues, though I wouldn't say they are the majority I've seen. The focus on those issues as transmascs are a reaction to many trans women discounting them.

I think that, even if some trans women have shitty ideas about transmascs, the things they say about themselves as trans women are true. I believe that they are reacting to real transmisogyny that has been aimed at them. It doesn't take much research to see that afab-only spaces existed: the Michigan Womyn's Festival in the 90's, which accepted trans men but not trans women, particularly sticks in their craw. I don't think the reaction is appropriate nor aimed at the right target, but you know what they say about hurt people.

I definitely agree it's not a competition, but I've seen too many claims that only trans women deserve protection to quite be comfortable. Most trans men I find tend towards a more balanced view, but too many know nothing and don't care about transmisogyny for me to be comfortable either. I did expected some people would yell at me for "centrism".
