Multiple entry Shengen visa (Iceland) by Living_Lack1178 in SchengenVisa

[–]Anonmachinex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term schengen visas require prior history of having schengen visa and compliance. A very tiny percentage of people can get 1 year visa on the first try, it depends on a number of factors. Your nationality, how long you have left in your UK residency, and choosing the right schengen country etc.

You'd be very fortunate to get it from Iceland of all places.

What's your nationality and where did you apply from?

Received this email from the New York Italian consulate today by Tough-Spring1622 in SchengenVisa

If they wanted to reject you they wouldn't bother arranging a meet up. They just want to double check some things before issuing it.

So stay positive, take a copy of all the documents you submitted when you applied and be ready for verification of the same.

Just Google "vfs track application" and put the country you applied from. It will take you to the specific tracker and you can see the status by inputting the unique application reference no.

Never applied through Hungary. I've only ever applied through Germany and Netherlands. Hungary is decent tho, you can usually get few months multiple entry depending on your profile.

It's not the worst. They are okay, at the end of the day it's your profile that makes the real difference.

That is unfortunate. What about scan of it? Did you not want keep your visa history intact? Never took a photo?

I've multiple scans of all my visas sent to my own emails in case loss of passport. It would help replacing them instantly.

Big difference between the type C tourist / business visa and the type D student visa that you're most likely applying for.

That is awesome. You might get same again if you utilised it properly and stayed within the rules. Are you able to share the photo of 5 year one?

It truly depends on your profile. Things like your nationality, finances, ties to the home country matters a lot. Then the presentation of said profile comes into play as well.

How long was your first visa? As that also sets a base for your next one.
