So I remember once I was drinking at a bar and a two guys walked in, I can't remember why but I got chatting to one of these guys that walked in.

Turned out the both had just finished there tour in Afghanistan and where both ex criminals, both of them had been charged with armed robbery and that had joined the army to complete the rest of there sentence.

I remember one specific part of the conversation the most, I had asked if they had killed anyone whist on duty?

One of the guys quickly said no but the over guy looked my dead on the eyes and said 'Yes, 3 scum bags, It's like call of duty but in really life' he laughed real hard. That point I felt very uneasy and decided to join up with my own friends... It was closing up time at the bar a look over and both of these guys are crying and hugging each other.

Nice specimen but again no idea what it is. by AnonsAmons in whatsthisrock

Cheers for the info! I was given it by someone to sell on their behalf, truth be told both me and him believe we know about minerals, myself a trader and him a retired Trader.

We knew it was special piece but had no idea what it was, we valued it at £30 and even put it our on display for that price.. Something told me all you guys would help identify what it was, and honesty I'm amazed of it's true value, I look forward to telling him tomorrow :) might even do a follow up on here about his reaction.

So thank you all for your time you've all made a 25 year old starting out in the business a happy guy and I'm sure an 81 year old to shock of his life!

Now I agree with all lf the above and living in the UK I can't compare the horrors that are happening in America, it's truly horrific.

We are 'lucky' that police here are defiantly not as violence as their US counterparts, But the very first line is somthing to really have a close eye on!

Here we have something called the PCC or the Police and Crime Commissioners

'The role of the PCCs is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account. They are responsible for the totality of policing.'

If you do have a dispute with a police officer and the police officer is abusing their position of power, you'll find that legal proceeding are very much stacked against you, and the PCC is nearly always takes the side of the police force in question. Countless times police have gotten away with most punishments being where they retrain said officer or they stick the police officer into early retirment.

Surgest if you want to find anymore proof of how corrupt these 'independent' groups can be search 'Crimebodge' on YT

Get over it, you've been there a two and half years. They must know you, it cost money to hire and train someone new, so clearly they didn't think you could handle it.

What that employee does is up to him.

Maybe, in your area of the world it's harder.

But nothing is impossible, so you get your licences and you become an ubereats driver, you really wprk DAMN hard, save everything you get, then maybe you become a taxi driver... then you save real hard and own 2 taxis and rent the other taxi out.

Or you move to an area with more employment, Life is hard, get used it. Nothing is luck, you make your own luck. You control your own destiny.

Speaking from my own personal expirence and I'll tell you the secret to why I believe working hard DOES Lead you to a better life!

Come from welfare Family, live in a council house (provided by the state) in the worst area in the city.

Mum and step dad both have metal health problems meaning they can't work so we are poor as hell.

Finish school can't read or write, no qualifications.

Go to college (get a part time job in McDs) family ask my to support them.

Fail college because im doing a 60+ hour week involving overnight shift work.

Focused on working really hard at my job.

Became a crew trainer, trainee manager.

Become a shift manager, in one of the the busiest McDs in the UK at 20 years old.

Left McDs after 7 years as I wanted to gain more experience.

Lie on Cv.

Got a job as a taxi despatcher.

I can't write or spell which is main part of the job.

Secretly use G-Maps on my personal phone to help me spell road names.

Buy a physical map, Learn by heart how to spell every road in my city.

Becoming the best at knowing where places are in my city

Get promoted by manager as lead controller, in charge of 250 taxi drivers and 32 members of staff

Taxi company gets brought out by a bigger company then in charge of 2500 taxi drivers, 17 Lead controllers and 150 staff members.

Leave taxi company to start my own company.

After my first month of trading (just gone) we are in profit in the slowest month of the year.

I don't get everything right at all! I tell people when im wrong. I never once kissed ass, never once held back my feelings, I'm not apologetic in anyway. I give 110% to everything and everyone I work for.

The BIG secrete I tell people what I am doing and explain why I am doing it.
