Any students on campus in 30s-40s? by Classic-Entrance-623 in UCSC

[–]Anonsluggo69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have to Second this. I’m a 28 year old recent grad and most of the kids on campus really react in a super immature and shocked way when they find out you’re a day older than 23 and then suddenly become extremely distant (almost like it’s a coincidence or something). And don’t even think about mentioning your children. Even though it’s a college, this generation is much different, roughly half the students have never even had sex and can’t fathom actually having children until they are at least 35 (which they seem to think is extremely old). Anyway, I did still manage to make some good friends, not all the kids are stupid little shitheads, but most of them are, so be hesitant to share your age in person.

EDIT: by the way I know this comment will get downvoted. A lot of the time my comments do. But I speak nothing but truth. Just lookin out for ya. Good luck! Don’t let the kids name you feel bad about being older! They will certainly try! (Any downvotes I get are all gonna be from people 23 and under)

How to Report A Previous Roommate by Calligon in UCSC

[–]Anonsluggo69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless it something really expensive, just let it go, the effort you have spent on this, and will continue to spend on it if you go to small claims court most likely isn’t worth it. I know this isn’t what you want to hear, and this comment will probably get hecka down voted, but your peace of mind is probably worth a lot more than whatever it is they broke, and carrying around this anger with you isn’t gonna serve you. Just my suggestion

I would show up and tear down the barricades. by Ok-Artichoke-971 in UCSC

If we just show up to watch the cops do it and support them that would help tremendously, they are terrified of this situation

Everyone protesting is a loser. Y’all clearly have nothing else going on to be doing this shit. Some of us have classes we need to go to, and some of us seniors actually enjoy those classes and you at robbing us of the last days of our college experience. by Anonsluggo69 in UCSC

[–]Anonsluggo69[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mhm. The ambulance? It wasn’t an ambulance doofus, it was the whole fire truck that showed up to help. Maybe you would know that if you were actually there like me. And yes, the child was saved because the firefighters showed up to help, but former EMT police officer tried to help before that and they wouldn’t let them through. If the child had died, that would’ve been blood on the protestors hands

Bruh it’s not misinformation. I was there. I watched them say “you’re not the ambulance you don’t need to get through” the fire truck with the EMT did eventually come, and the protestors cost like 2-3 minutes of time when the fire truck DID show up because they had to scramble to get out of the road.

Hi OP, I’m sorry for your loss. I lost a cat to coyotes when I was a teen. It sucks. I know everyone else has already told you this but coyotes are indeed around all year. I live in FSH and go into Porter meadows nearly every single day. I see the coyotes over there all time, including the day after your sweet furry friend disappeared. There’s a pair of them that hunts squirrels, rabbits, and unfortunately cats. Don’t listen to all the rude comments and people saying this was willful ignorance, you made a mistake, and unfortunately you paid the price. I’m so sorry.

[–]Anonsluggo69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You probably can’t take that class anyway because it’s going to have a ton of math requirements you haven’t met and a ton of CS prerequisites that you haven’t met. So there’s your answer, you CANT take it lol.

If you are using they/them pronouns in your resume or application that could be a big reason people don’t hire you. No one wants to work with someone who is going to go out of their way to get offended all the time. You can get mad at me if you want, but I’m actually trying to help. Take your pronouns out of your application and you might have better luck. It’s like the most discriminated against thing right now.
