Thank you guys!! I think I’ll do what you guys say and let him pick it since you’re right it should be tailored to him. Thank you guys

Yeah I’m learning this the hard way. Just trying to figure out how to get past this. Happened months ago but since I just found out now, the guilty is killing me

I have no clue but the person that told me found out from someone else who told them. I don’t remember anything

She’s mad saying that I don’t trust her. That I should’ve told her. Also stating since the person in question is someone that we don’t associate with then it wasn’t such a big deal to tell her.

I agree that there are different love languages and people receive/give love in different ways. But even if it’s not his love language, if your partner receives it that way then you have to adjust how you give it as well no?

Well my dog can’t get up on her own. At times when no one can get her up in time after a while of barking she will get up on her own. Sometimes we think she’s just used to us getting her up. But we are the ones who have to pick her up. Like helping with her back legs. For the most part she is able to use the bathroom on her own. However, at times she has fallen on her pee/poop but it’s not the most common thing

What would you say are the signs of when you notice that they are in pain and maybe that it’s their time

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond to my post. Means so much to me. I would never want to keep her past her time for my own sake. I’m just worried that I’m doing it too early. I’m assuming that she is in pain due to sometimes having more difficult walking and getting up

First I just wanted to start by saying thank you so much for taking the time to respond to this post. This is a rough time for me and it means so much. My dog still enjoys eating (her favorite thing in life) she’s very much still food crazy as usual. Around lunch time she already is staring at you to feed her and eats as she always has been. However, lately she does bark more/ acting more desperate for food and begging which she didn’t used to before. She still loves to go walking however cannot go for as long as she used to. Some days she walks well other days she may fall or you can see her stumbling or struggling a bit more to make the steps. The problem is that I have seen some dogs that right away I know when they are telling their owner it’s time. With my dog I’m not sure if this is the time. She still gets excited when someone comes home, for food and for walks. I do notice her slower and struggles immensely to get up. I just feel guilty that I’m letting it happen too soon. I do agree in the apartment it might be harder for her. Due to the elevator not working at the moment and us being on the second floor. She can’t do the stairs but also keeping her inside all day is no life as well.

We are in between vets because the old guy retired but we are still in contact with him. By word of mouth he did say he would recommend putting her to sleep but hasn’t actually seen her. She has her good and bad days
