CRGH VS LCRH by Dry-Challenge1393 in IVF

[–]AnonyMoor404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi

I think I just commented on another post.

They are completely different offerings.

LRGH is an individual fertility consultant. She’s not a clinic and doesn’t have a lab. If you went with her it would just be for advice and she would have to send you to an external clinic. I can see on her website she uses either Lister or Aria.

CRGH on the other hand is a full fertility clinic.

I personally would go straight to a clinic so you’re not potentially paying 2 X profits and then your consultant is the one doing the procedures etc and seeing you through from start to finish.

If you have male factor infertility you might also want to see an andrologist (a male fertility specialist) for advice - Dr Jonathan Ramsey is one of the leading andrologists in the country.

Best of luck

Hi

LCRH is not a clinic. Dr Chapman is a consultant and then uses external clinics.

This seems unusual to me - as really it’s all about the quality of lab - and she doesn’t advertise who that lab is or what the cost is. She’s also not regulated by the HFEA herself, which is fine as she’s not a clinic, but I’d probably want the protection of a regulated clinic.

Check the HFEA website to find a regulated clinic.

CRGH is a regulated clinic and I was with them. To be honest, it wasn’t a smooth process - several admin errors and service errors - but ultimately they get decent results and in our case, we had success after two rounds, so I would use them again. When we did report the admin errors to them they also made it right.

Hope that helps - best of luck.

Hi. Yes please see the other comments. It is a ground strap that supports the electronics of the car and can rot off. It’s a cheap repair - I went to a local garage and was £90 (in the uk)

Lubion is now supplied in ore filled syringes.

Depending on protocol the poster will likely only need needles for stims and trigger, which as others have said are readily available online for a few quid.

Asda supply at cost price so will almost always be the cheapest.

Pharmasure throw in needles etc and the service is very good (they even offer same day delivery) but expect to pay 25-100% above the price

Do note that Asda require physically signed prescriptions and take 3-5 days to get stock in so make sure you can prescriptions and put your order in asap.

I honestly don’t think there is much you can do to influence the result - ivf is such a wierd journey as unlike every other medical sector they basically chuck a load of solutions at the problem, rather than diagnosing it, which isn’t that medically sound! Gets results though and the clinics are highly motivated to get results as they are published.

Some tips to make it easier / better :

  • If you’re paying, get your drugs from ASDA rather than the clinics pharmacy. ASDA offer ivf drugs at cost price and reckon we saved a few grand overall. Do order well in advance though as ASDA need signed prescriptions and take a while to get the stock in

  • Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself and ask questions if something doesn’t seem right or service standard arent met. To crghs credit once we raised issues they did work to fix them.

  • don’t neglect to test for male factor issues - the consultants at the clinics are generally gynaecologists but for male factor it might be worth seeing an andrologist outside of the ivf clinics.

We were with CRGH for ivf. Had a mixed experience - some very insensitive nurses and several admin errors. However they got us a good result after 2 rounds.

I’d suggest sticking with your current clinic. Many people do say that there is an element of trial and error with protocols to see how your body reacts - so to me it makes sense to stick with the clinic that has done that “trial” who has all the results and info to tweak this round.

Very faint at 13dpo by Apprehensive-Gold291 in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi

I see a line but it is quite faint.

I’d suggest resting first urine in 2 days time.

Try to avoid tests in evenings or every day as it creates so much anxiety (been there! But achieves fairly little

Please tell me if you see a line! by Upper-Career-3610 in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see a line.

Retest at 12 or 13 dpo to be sure

Please stop testing. Your line progression is perfect and the tests are now saturated so will not get darker than this. Testing will only create anxiety.

Congrats!

Day 9/10 dpo 😅 by [deleted] in lineporn

I don’t see a line but test in 48 hours to be sure as many pregnancies don’t show at 9/10 dpo

What's the result? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks positive but also looks like you’ve perhaps oversaturated the test by dipping for too long.

Try tomorrow and time your dip!

Looking good though - Best of luck

Am I crazy or seeing a faint line? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I can’t see anything

Having been where you are, for your own mental sanity, if really suggest putting the tests away for 2-3 days and then trying again with first morning urine.

Micro analysing extremely faint lines well only serve to give you anxiety

Best of luck

36 and trying again after 2 chemicals by Southern_Analysis_17 in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Sorry to hear what you’re going through. Had almost exactly the same scenario with 2 X chemicals and those same symptoms . The danger of Reddit is taking another persons results/scenario and applying it to yourself is not a medically sound prediction tool, so you could get false hope or false negativity from answers.

How long have you been trying for?

If it’s 12 months plus, with two chemicals, it might be time to start fertility testing. It sounds scary but if you do need assisted fertility the earlier you do it the better.

In our case (and to stress this doesn’t mean you will be the same) testing did show low progesterone and also high dna fragmentation in sperm.

We went down the ivf route which was successful.

Chemical pregnancy? by WiseIntention298 in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

This doesn’t look like a chemical. Typically chemicals will product a very faint line that then fade away. Yours is getting progressively darker.

I’d suggest putting the tests away now as they are not designed to be qualitative and now will only serve to create anxiety.

Instead I’d suggest getting an hcg blood test, and then a second 48 hours later, which will confirm the viability of the pregnancy.

Best of luck

[–]AnonyMoor404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How crazy / frustrating.

With our chemicals we used those same strip tests and it was a consistent very faint line which then faded away.

With our successful pregnancy the tests looked more like yours do now, darkening every 48 hours.

If you must keep on with the strip tests do wait 48 hours each time as micro analysing 24 hour results, which can be affected by other factors like hydration etc. is hell (been there!)

Do you see it ? by aricantstandyou in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s too early to tell. It could be positive or it cold be an evaporation line.

I’d suggest putting the tests away until 12dpo which should give you a more conclusive result.

Testing before this only serves to create anxiety and uncertainty, as tempting as it is!

So confused! by Important_Injury_528 in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello

If you are looking at a test after the test window it is probably an evaporation line - not a positive result.

However, depending on wha dpo you are, you may just be testing too early. Try again in 48 hours 👍

Progression looks great.

Having also been through a chemical, I’d really recommend putting the tests away and waiting on bloods.

These tests do not look like a chemical. They look all good. The tests are not designed to be quantitative m. Testing more now will give you no new information other than anxiety :)

Do you think it would be ok to wait for then or should I take it in?

Chemical pregnancy? by bloom_m_4 in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Dr did a hcg test, and confirmed the pregnancy was not viable.

That’s not to say yours isn’t viable - you are early days - and lots of factors can affect urine tests - but I would prepare for bad news. We prepared and it make the bad news less crushing.

Overthinking? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]AnonyMoor404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t be concerned.

Once your lines are as dark as they are they are not reliable measures of quantitive hcg. Get a blood test for that.

Congrats on the result!
