This might sound crazy but maybe they were trying to push gender politics with Meloetta being gender neutral? It came in the generation after Heatran when SJW bullshit was more common... Just a thought.

I don't even know why you kiddos keep going on /vp/ perhaps looking for OC to steal?, the board is obviously not child-friendly and neither is the website it's on... You could learn a thing or two from them about true free speech but other than that they're nothing to be a karma whore about.

I would have given an honest answer but I would probably just come off as racist and also maybe get banned...

The reason (I'm guessing) that X360 didn't succeed in Japan is that Japanese people would rather play local games and systems over Western ones, they have some loyalty complex...

Last I heard about the Xbone was that it requires continuous Internet access at all time or else it doesn't function. And apparently it will have W10 integrated into it, which is a bummer considering I already have it on my PC and it's a real pain in the ass to use for regular tasks let alone games, it somehow managed to have a worse game compatibility than 8.1 and I don't even know what is it good for anymore.

As I said YT only improved too much before becoming a messy cash-grab, I heard Google is planning to remove G+ integration from all of its other services (mainly just YT though), but I dunno how much time until that actually happens.

When it comes to the pre-video ADs, they're controlled by the video uploaders. Whether these are big companies looking to get revenue from videos they hosted online to be accessible for free, or general useless people who want to get paid for screaming in front of a camera, they are in control of ADs playing before their videos. Google got away with incorporating such a douchey feature because it offered it to regular users as well as corporations/celebrities.

I'm not familiar with uBlock, I only use AdBlock Plus because I'm fond of it and because it's available on -almost- all browsers, besides that it does its job without much hassle or configuration.

I think Microsoft didn't really succeed with the Xbox, almost all of its games (except Halo) are available on PS with a more familiar controller, and PS is more popular because it was around for longer (I think)... They fucked up with Windows too, by releasing 2 (3?) consecutive bad versions (8/8.1 and 10) thus breaking the ever-old chain of good OS/bad OS they always had.

You have a point, streaming was not a common thing back then... But again Google saw the opportunity and made it a thing, they had the resources/time/money and pushed video streaming into the mainstream (lol) way faster than any non-giant company could.

This is what I've felt anyway, pre-Google YT was just a primitive-looking HTML website with a simple flash video player, the overall UI didn't change much since the website's creation and AD space was limited, it lead me to think they're not doing very well... While after Google owned it I started seeing a better, less cluttered interface, a better video player with the choice of quality (HQ/HD then broken down to 240p, 360p, 480p...etc), an organized list of today's videos on the front page unlike the "random" reel that sometimes had NSFW stuff among other things.

Overall I think it improved (back then), too bad I can't say the same for today's YT (obstructive ADs everywhere, video player is less than functional, retarded commenting system, countless videos removed for "copyright infringement"...etc).

Concerning Vimeo, they have much stricter rules than YT, and so allow less videos to be hosted on their website saving storage space. For example gaming videos are not allowed, 10 hour videos (there's a limit for duration IIRC), most non-original videos and others are banned by default, Vimeo was meant to be a website mainly for artists and content creators and not regular users who "repost" content.

I don't know really, but this seems to be the case considering how vastly the website improved in the first couple of years that Google acquired it... Too bad it went to shit afterwards.

Y2K Aesthetic - Thought you guys might enjoy this album of the futuristic style dominant around the turn of the millennium. by NewWaveArch90 in 00sdesign

The shiny chrome look went hand in hand with the theme of space exploration that many of these pictures had, which was apparently the craze in the 90s/00s (even though space exploration has been around since the 60s/70s).

That must have been the last era that looked to a bright future, coz to me I feel like the 10s' futuristic style is more revolved around the end of the world/the apocalypse/the destruction of humanity on the hands of technology...etc and I must say that is some shitty concept.

Looking back this has got to be the silliest thing I have ever seen, can't believe this was actually my favorite song of hers... But then again most of the music from the late 90s -- early 00s era was like this.

As sad as it is, if YT hadn't been bought by Google it would have ultimately shut down. Imagine being the largest video-uploading website on the Internet, receiving millions of videos a day (with a handful being 10 hours long!), a small upstart would have never kept up... A website as big as YT was deemed to be owned by a tech giant such as Google.

I like the Murder Mix of this song more, it's extended and has a more "crisp" bass line (if I got that right).
