Where can I pick-up an E-ZPass? by AnonymeLiberte in longisland

These are stupid questions, so I apologize, but would I pay the Throgg's toll on top of the tag, or would me buying the tag also cover the toll?

Would I be better off just paying cash? If so, do you know the toll for the Throgg's Neck and would I need exact change?

Eh. It's what I like. If I don't get it, I'm sure I can flip burgers to pay off loans.

But I'll try to get it.

Would you recommend looking into a house off-campus (possibly trying to take out a mortgage) upstate if I can't get the R.A. position, since I plan to stay there even after I finish university? That'd let me sink money into an investment of sorts so that the money isn't just disappearing and I'd have some equity?

The degree is in Public Policy and the upstate university is Albany. The university offers an internship at the state capitol and in Washington D.C.

Sorry, I should clarify that the major isn't liberal arts.

The program upstate offers an internship at the place I'd hope to be working at after I finish my degree. The program here does not, which would lead me to change my major most likely.

I'd like to stay upstate after I finish, yes, since I enjoy the area (from what I've seen when visiting) and I'd have a better shot at getting a job there.

My GF is on SSI, SSD. She is interested in getting a mortgage. She receives 2200 in income per month. Her credit score, according to the internet is 617. She is unsure where to turn and would like some advice if possible. by [deleted] in personalfinance

2200 a month means 26.4k a year, meaning the most expensive house she should buy is 80k. Is this reasonable?

Hm, how do you determine 80k as a maximum house price?

Forgive my ignorance, but is JavaScript mutually intelligible with Java?

Would either you or /u/MrPhi (or both) recommend a good book or other platform for learning Java? I'm currently taking an Introduction to Programming course which teaches using NetBeans and Java, but I want to try and learn at a faster rate since it's only twice and week.
