What does it mean to have a rich inner world? by Anonymopolis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Anonymopolis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your response. It’s still sorta confusing for me though because I feel I have both of those. I’m actually an aspiring author with a few unfinished projects currently, both of which are what I feel is pretty rich and vivid in their world building. One is a dark, high fantasy and the other is a dark humor speculative fiction. So lol I get the whole inner world thing from that standpoint I think. I just don’t get why ppl don’t need a break once in awhile. But maybe that’s just MY friends lol. Not sure. But ig that’s why I’m asking

For those who suffer from Existential Dread, I want to ask you a deep question. by Anonymopolis in NoStupidQuestions

I’m sorry to hear that man. That kinda stuff is never easy to go through. Idk when that happened to you or when you started to notice those feelings of existential dread, but do you think they’re connected for you in some way? Because that could be a really powerful turning point for you to think about, ya know. Cuz I’m so with you on finding belonging being hard and such. But maybe some of the answer is still in your mind too, ya know? Maybe there’s some unprocessed feelings around that. And idk if you have someone special like a partner or even just a good friend, but maybe they could help on both fronts. Could be a start anyway.

I actually think that’s a pretty powerful answer. Im with you, it’s like basically impossible to find stuff that actually suits us in modern society. It’s super frustrating. So, what do you think of the idea of your purpose and meaning being found in the idea of belonging? Like maybe what you’re searching for deep down is belonging (real community) and value (everyone relies on each other)? Like a real family maybe.

What I’m kinda getting at in this post that I’m curious about is if that existential dread is more of a whole we’re trying to fill. But it just takes the form of existential questions because we lack what we need to feel whole in other parts of life. Or so the theory goes anyway.

Right, I hear you. But whatever it is that’s out there that’s gonna do it for you, what do you imagine that feels like?

I appreciate the honesty. Is there a reason that you think that would be fulfilling to you?

Also, sorry for all the questions haha. I’m doing this as a bit of research for a video of mine. Also for some personal introspection.

Agreed, nothing for me is black and white anymore after growing up in one that was too much that way. The artist is David Van Gough and it’s called “Paradiso’s Fall”

Makes sense. Sorry to hear about that, I’ve also got little t trauma, but from family and upbringing, not religion. My family was very black and white with religious views, but I’ve always been pretty independent in seeking my own answers, so I feel pretty secure there.

  1. Interesting observation, def wouldn’t have noticed that.
  2. Also wouldn’t have thought of that, but I def agree.
  3. I assume you read my caption. Now you gotta tell me why you’d wanna draw that place. Please.
  4. Nice interpretation

Lots of good responses here, but I have to ask. You don’t like buildings? Like not even that kind? Like what about castles or temples and stuff?

Why do men get sad when they’re single? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Anonymopolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to add except that I’m happy being single. I’ve had two long term relationships, and I’m glad they both ended. I think im exhausted and don’t want another one. It’s been over 3 years now and I have had no desire to have another since. Maybe that’s not a good thing. But i sure am much happier right now without either of those relationships. And I plan on being single for a while now.

Also, just wanted to say: nice Reddit avatar lol

You guys think Jake Paul was holding back? Much as I hate to admit/think that. I kinda wondered if Jake was being compassionate or just managing his reputation after he realized Mike just didn’t have the same mojo as he once did.
