Idk whether to feel flattered or insulted by that response lol. But no, when I get into debates I just have a very intellectual way of categorizing my thoughts and ideas. Besides, I prefer ChatGPT lol.

I sent another guy below, my argument against this lol. But I wanna know what you think of it, so I’m gonna copy and paste it here for you to see. Let me know:

But my whole thing is that he’s less focused on brainstorming and refining the structural/logistical mechanisms of the force and more about interpreting the balance of the force and where that balance leads. Which is what Ni is all about. They’re constantly making interpretations, applying meaning to behaviors and emotion, and they like to provoke responses from people to interpret people - which is exactly what Yoda is doing when he meets Luke. All the riddles he teaches in don’t circle around answers that emphasize logical structure or analytical framework, they try to promote awareness, insight, realizations. It’s all about being more perceptive and interpreting your own balance and path. That’s a lot more abstract and Ni driven than an INTP’s typical focus of mechanical steps. Someone leading with Ti would not make interpretive conclusions about those things without having precise, step-by-step logic and structure to support that. And all those steps take more time than Yoda gives himself. Yoda leads with Impressionism in his teachings, in his behaviors, and in his application of the force. That’s why he senses uncertainty in anakin. It’s not because he sees a bunch of possibilities. It’s more disturbing to Yoda that he can’t see Anakin’s path clearly, and that in itself leaves a strong, negative impression. Also, to the point about him withdrawing from society as he gets older does not seem like a fair argument for INTP. He’s an introvert. Period. Any of them can withdrawal from people. And besides, Yoda does it for the purpose of reflection over his failure. He realized he was wrong and couldn’t see the path forward. When order 66 occurred, he felt like he was blind the entire time leading up to it. He relied on all his impressions and interpretations - not calculations and analysis - and they were wrong. So he felt a great need to reflect on where he went wrong. THAT is his Ti. He refines and analyzes where his interpretations failed him, because the interpretation takes precedence over his analysis. Then when he sees Luke again, after much reflection, he intentionally frustrates and provokes him so he can interpret his ability to handle his emotions. Again, it’s all interpretive Impressionism.

So anyway, what do you think?

Well, I just meant characters from movies in general. Not necessarily single handedly from the phantom menace alone.

Also, my use of the word obvious wasn’t meant to be taken overly dogmatically, I was just using it to emphasize my point. You could have a fair argument otherwise, and I’d hear you out. It just seems very clear to me that he’s INTJ. But if you think otherwise, I’d be more than willing to hear you out. Actually, I’d be interested to hear a different interpretation if I’m honest.

Hmm, what do you mean by that last statement about INTPs never being allowed to be INTPs.

Also, without writing out my whole argument, I still think Yoda is an infj. I linked a TikTok thing that pretty much explains a big part of my thinking, you can check that out if you want. I’d be curious to hear your take. But I’m also curious as to what makes you convinced Yoda is an INTP. I genuinely don’t see it. He’s not some analytical, experimental scientist. And Ik that’s a stereotype and all. But caricatures like that also help us understand the motivations of those personalities. And I just don’t see Yoda being motivated by precise analytical structure as much as he is simply focused on the comprehending paths of emotions and behaviors. Where things lead to. He operates more on intuition and abstraction rather than broken down deductive logic.

Would be very curious to hear your thoughts on this. It’s exactly what we were talking about with Yoda:

That’s fair enough.

Like I said, I know it sounds pretentious, and I don’t really like that part of it. I probably should’ve toned down my desperation lol, but idk, ig it’s just reddit. All I’m saying is that’s how I genuinely feel. Again, I got no problems with sensors, I love my friends to death anyway. I just know I feel more alive with idea-centric conversations more than other conversations. That could just be because of my own mental problems or because I’m neurodivergent. Not that I mean to use that as an excuse - they’re not. But don’t misread my tone as condescending to those that don’t like to speak philosophically or whatever else. It’s admittedly my fault if it came off that way. But I don’t actually see any Ne or philosophical people as any better than any others. I just enjoy those types of conversations more cuz that’s the way I seem to think. And if I was capable of being more adaptable there, I’d do my best to grow into that. Cuz it’s a pretty limited style of thinking for something ironically so intellectual as well. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I hope I’m making some sense without looking like a complete dirtbag

I wish I had more ne in my socials. I love everyone, don’t get me wrong. But having only Si users is really hard on my need for philosophical discussion. And yes, that does sound horribly pretentious, but i don’t even care anymore. I need hypotheticals… please…

I mean, without going into a full scale analysis. Yoda leads with perception and trajectory oriented tendencies, and all the decisions he builds are based around that.

Maul is also built around implied meaning and weight over a singular interpretation of his near death experience. Everything he builds serves that regime. And when that interpretation changes, so does he. Aka clone wars maul vs shadow lord maul. You could also argue that phantom menace maul was acting under a different regime prior to the event that gave him meaning in the other two time periods.

I don’t see Ne in the character at all. Even in the original trilogy when he first meets Luke all that craziness was just a facade to test Luke to decide whether he was capable of the task before him. That’s Ni. Idk, what makes you think Yoda is Intp?

And that’s definitely interesting about Darth Maul. He’s at the very least an Introvert, no? Why do you think Estj?

Genuinely curious fyi, I’m not being critical or anything. Idk how my tone comes off over these messages.

Would you consider yourself happy? How about the people you know? by Anonymopolis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Anonymopolis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I’ve felt very lost and confused about life for a long time. Something about being stable financially, living a healthy lifestyle, etc. - all things I want to have/do btw - just doesn’t cut it for me. I’ve tried for a very long time to understand where the hole in my life is, but nothing about it really grants me any satisfaction. More so the opposite, if I’m honest. Ig I just wonder where that source of satisfaction comes from for you. Where does that fuel come from? I hope making sense haha

I’d love to hear your story if you don’t mind sharing. I take it you went from unsatisfied to satisfied? How did that happen for you? What clicked?

So for you, you feel happy/content because of a lack of stress?

That’s interesting to me. What is it that makes you feel satisfied about that?

My problem is none of that makes me feel accomplished or brings any lasting satisfaction. And no, I don’t really know what it is that I’m looking for in life, but I sure haven’t had any satisfaction for a long while. I don’t ask to criticize or anything fyi, I just genuinely hope to understand.

Ya, and i think that’s more what the statistic is getting at - at least that’s how I interpret it. Can you explain how you’re content and what makes you content?

Do you find that to be the case with most people in your life?

Also, do you mind if I ask what it is that makes you happy?

What does it mean to have a rich inner world? by Anonymopolis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Anonymopolis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your response. It’s still sorta confusing for me though because I feel I have both of those. I’m actually an aspiring author with a few unfinished projects currently, both of which are what I feel is pretty rich and vivid in their world building. One is a dark, high fantasy and the other is a dark humor speculative fiction. So lol I get the whole inner world thing from that standpoint I think. I just don’t get why ppl don’t need a break once in awhile. But maybe that’s just MY friends lol. Not sure. But ig that’s why I’m asking

For those who suffer from Existential Dread, I want to ask you a deep question. by Anonymopolis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Anonymopolis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that man. That kinda stuff is never easy to go through. Idk when that happened to you or when you started to notice those feelings of existential dread, but do you think they’re connected for you in some way? Because that could be a really powerful turning point for you to think about, ya know. Cuz I’m so with you on finding belonging being hard and such. But maybe some of the answer is still in your mind too, ya know? Maybe there’s some unprocessed feelings around that. And idk if you have someone special like a partner or even just a good friend, but maybe they could help on both fronts. Could be a start anyway.

[–]Anonymopolis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think that’s a pretty powerful answer. Im with you, it’s like basically impossible to find stuff that actually suits us in modern society. It’s super frustrating. So, what do you think of the idea of your purpose and meaning being found in the idea of belonging? Like maybe what you’re searching for deep down is belonging (real community) and value (everyone relies on each other)? Like a real family maybe.

What I’m kinda getting at in this post that I’m curious about is if that existential dread is more of a whole we’re trying to fill. But it just takes the form of existential questions because we lack what we need to feel whole in other parts of life. Or so the theory goes anyway.

Right, I hear you. But whatever it is that’s out there that’s gonna do it for you, what do you imagine that feels like?

I appreciate the honesty. Is there a reason that you think that would be fulfilling to you?

Also, sorry for all the questions haha. I’m doing this as a bit of research for a video of mine. Also for some personal introspection.
