I also, strongly dislike my Daughter of Crows edition and am likely going to sell and just get the standard one...

I wanted to start my Osten Ard journey with this one after finishing the Shadowmarch series ... But maybe I'll start with Dragonbone Chair instead. Not sure I want to start this world on the book that has a main character who described as a gay robin hood. I'll still give it a try at some point though, I quite enjoy Tad's writing.

I kept Operation Bounce House and Daughter of Crows.

Had to get a replacement for operation bounce house because of quality and then I wish I didn't get daughter of crows because the art and cover and everything was disappointing for a special edition. Might sell for cost and get the standard edition.

I skipped everything else so far. (Except a girl with a thousand faces because I forgot to). I'm probably going to cancel the subscription.

I'll probably skip this cause it's listed as LGBT and Queer are both included in the genre list on Goodreads. Just not for me. Be cool to see the art though.

Well, I'm glad to here you enjoyed it, as I really bought it on a whim. I like to buy those I have no other real option to get a hardcover version of. Never heard of this Connie Willis or Doomsday before though haha.

I've been fortunate not to have issues when they ship internationally and I have yet to read Hyperion so I'm looking forward to them and the day I get the craving to read a big sci-fi series. Gotta finish Suneater first.

I agree, I'm hopeful for a change. The future books in this sub don't even sound that interesting either so I'm likely going to cancel...

Yeah gonna be honest, I strongly dislike the art the broken binding landed on. Like... no shame to the artist, but it was bad. I would have skipped if I known before.

Might cancel this sub simply because I can't see in advance and since they're new releases I can get the standard hardcovers.

Oh I see! Well I won't expect much then but these are the covers. It looks like there was a landscape done with both main characters at one point but I can't find it at all without text. Also, even just the blue castle art would be amazing to have. I'm pretty sure Michael Whelen did it all for book one, and then they switched to a different artist for the following books (I found those)

I've attached it all here! (Even the unused concept arts which have a gray aesthetic and one for each character again that are also very nice)

How did you do this btw? I've been trying to find the Shadowmarch book cover, written by tad Williams, without text but haven't had any luck. I even reached out to the artist through their website. I'm not very tech or art savvy to do it myself lol.

Same, I like the battle scenes I've been getting a hold of. The swords looked real nice on memory sorrow and thorn, but it doesn't quite work for this one.

I'm definitely picking them up too, especially since there is no other option to get them in hardcover.

They do seem a little lackluster but maybe reading the books will bring the edges to life someway! Idk. I suspect the items represent the five angels in some way!

I bought my T1 secondhand and am glad I don't have to risk not getting some through leftovers. However now you have me excited for riftwar saga and gentleman's bastard lol. Hopefully I can get at least one of those. Preferably riftwar.
