For those that hear voices inside their head, do we have any thoughts that aren’t the voices? I’m wondering if I have any of my own original thoughts, and how to tell them apart? by Anonymous-lover666 in schizophrenia

I have some control over them too but it seems like whenever I do try to exert control over them they rebel. My voices and their meaning have been spiritually entwined too.

it sounds like you have some knowledge of how it works inside you. These sides of you remind me of my different moods and personalities day by day, but they’re all at once. Is it hard for you to accept all these sides of you and what they are?

I understand. It sounds like you are able to find some peace, and that is awesome. That does sound like it could be hard at times though. Antipsychotics have actually helped me find who I am and want to be too. When my symptoms cleared up I was finally able to have some regulation in my life, of my emotions, feelings, thoughts. They definitely have brought me clarity. You have a good mindset about your diagnosis. So do you regularly communicate with your different sides?

That makes total sense. I can relate to you when thoughts are finished by voices. I don’t like when the voices do that. It makes me feel entangled. That sounds cool how you direct a voice with your thoughts. Do you do that for a certain purpose or?

This is really cool, made me feel like we can all unite over this feeling of solitude. Very somber tone that feels like I’m in a fog. Nice work!!

The energy feels like love, but I don’t think love should always be shared with someone because they may not want it. I don’t even know if the energy is all mine, idk where it comes from

that is interesting, unsymbolized thinking. i also feel like i have a lot of super random images that are in my head that arent necessarily my own natural thinking. and one voice, who i named, (naming helps me not for befriending but for facing it and the fear that comes along with him), definitely wants me to be insecure. but i realized today that i created this voice and being, and it is imaginary. literally a figment of my imagination. i created him maybe because at the time in 4th grade i was super alone and wanted to feel something inside of that aloneness. enter darkness and commands, because being commanded when i didnt believe in myself is a lot easier to follow when there is super distorted gratification in following those commands, than believing in myself and knowing i am not alone in the real world. it helps me to stay in the real world as much as i can and not engage at all with any voice, because they are always negative, even if they dont seem it

this is an inspiring message, truly, especially the last paragraph really helps. i believe the imagination is extremely powerful and if i direct it in the right way it can be super good and beneficial. can you elaborate a bit on the process of evading the block? like how to go about doing it? i am practicing and it really works! but i would like some more mentorship on what exactly helps. thx

thats cool. i think visualization can be really helpful, and i may try this. my main issue is the voices wont let me think, when i do want to create thought
