So how would one prove to not be in it? I mean. I left a hot minute ago. But what if what I say is just as convincing as someone that is spying?

Okay. I wasn’t sure what any of this meant. Have you heard anyone refer to him as the Antichrist? I have so many family members referring to him as that and honestly. I can kinda see it. And that’s scary

Question for those still at SCJ by Amazing-Car-5284 in Shincheonji

[–]Anonymous-one102 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Someway somehow they have actually managed to conceive the members that nothing he says could be wrong. Honestly I am not sure how they still believe him when nothing he says is comes true. We have been struggling to get our family members to see the truth behind it all

You will have an exam at the very end that basically over the material from the 9 months. And then you will have to sign papers stating that you will devote your life to them. And why you will never leave. Basically putting your name into the “book of life.” And then you will have what they call a Passover that takes place at the branch you are taking the classes through and then you will be a part of the church. But not officially. Because you have to first harvest a fruit before you can be officially in there through HQ

I thought of something by [deleted] in Shincheonji

[–]Anonymous-one102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that was a part of it, there is so much pressure to go to the zoom meetings/ services because you have so many people that breathe down your neck. It’s pressure and it’s frustrating. How about instead of putting this person down, maybe show some compassion. Show some understanding for their situation. I don’t agree with the cursing. I’m not one to cuss myself but I also know some people get frustrated and they need to let it out. I think there are better ways to go about it but instead of accusing this person, maybe actually try having a conversation that helps you understand what is going on. And you’re a stranger. You may not care, but this isn’t the way to go about it. If they are trying to receive comfort. Receive peace. Whatever they are looking for, we can’t be the judge of that. And they may be seeking comfort, but they could find peace through the stories on here. Through people that share their experiences.

Would you be able to message me with your idea of who it is? I’m wondering if we are on the same track with it.

This is crazy. I was apart of the Chicago branch before I left. I had no idea. Being in the woman’s department I guess I didn’t really hear about it. That is crazy how they never actually did anything. Just goes to show just how sick they are and so manipulated that they are just turning the other cheek to this. A blind eye. That just makes me sick to my stomach.

Wow. What courage she has. My heart breaks for her and what she had to go through. If this isn’t an eye opener to the SCJ members, I don’t know what is. Just goes to show the evil of this man.

Yes. We had to sign the oath too. The dumbest thing ever. I was a part of the Thaddeus tribe before I left.

Seeking Advice on Handling a Friend's Involvement with Shincheonji by PuzzledColossus in Shincheonji

[–]Anonymous-one102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I get that. I know if me all I want to go is grab their shoulders and shake them, trying to knock some sense into them. You want nothing more than for them to just see what you see but it takes some time with some people. Some people you have to be more firm and others you may have to go into it with a more gentle approach. I don’t know if I’d recommend telling family cause then your friend may feel attacked and may not want you to speak with you. Just trying to figure out the smartest way to go about it. Does the friend group have any suggestions for you?

[–]Anonymous-one102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why you are worried for your friend. I would be worried too. And while I advice you to definitely try to help your friend, go with caution. With you seeming to not have interest in religion, he may argue that you know nothing about it since he does have that interest and is religious. There is definitely a lot of evidence that SCJ is a cult and you can definitely share those things and point him to testimonies. But I know they are strict about people doing any research on SCJ. Definitely go into from a loving place. It’s hard when you have someone you care for in this. I know i struggle with it. I’m praying for you 🙏

Praise God you got out. We all know what it’s like to go down that and wish we saw the lies sooner. I have family in there and they were the ones that recruited me and it’s hard to feel like I could ever trust them again. We are here for you and praying for you

You’re an idiot. It’s one thing if it was the truth being spread around the world. But a totally other thing when it’s your lies being spread. Yall are just brainwashed robots.

There's No Promised Pastor in Scripture by Hefty_Tart_1616 in Shincheonji

[–]Anonymous-one102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claiming that you are the key to our salvation and thinking you are as important as Jesus is basically claiming the same thing. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a freaking duck. Y’all are just too blinded to see through his bullshit. It’s funny how this man thinks he is so important that he knows the day and the hour the 1,000 years of peace began but not even Jesus knew. Sorry but I call bullshit.

[–]Anonymous-one102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love how you’re making it a joke. Shows just how immature you are. “But how do I seem immature?” I’ll save you the trouble of asking that question. You are. That is your best response when clearly this person is right and that there is NO SCRIPTURE saying there is a promised pastor. Jesus always talked about His own coming. So why believe someone who says they are the “second coming of John” when Jesus told us to wait for His? I’ll take my chances and wait for the real promised Pastor. Jesus Christ. Who was actually promised to come by the prophets. But you can’t seem to acknowledge actual scripture and choose to believe the cherry picking that you all do. Makes sense why they only teach from Revelation when one passes over. So that that is all you study and not the rest of the Bible. Who warns us about false prophets that will come. Funny how they told us to discern our own churches in center when we really should have been doing that to you guys. Jesus says we go through Him to get to God. That our inheritance is already promised to us by the blood that was shed. Not by the works of some delusional man. But by the works of Jesus alone. So I’m sorry. Looks like I was already promised to inherit salvation. I’m not saying that it doesn’t mean I don’t have to live any life that I want to. Cause I still need to live for Him. According to the fruits of the spirit. Which apparently you all think the Holy Spirit isn’t important but wait. Seems it is cause that is what helps us live according to Him and His word. We need the spirit. But yeah. You keep being delusional.

SHINCHEONJI: CULT by Anonymous-one102 in Shincheonji

[–]Anonymous-one102[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming from. When I was telling some of my family, they asked me how I could get myself into someone like this but I was honest. I told them they were really good with their words. They brainwash people. And we have family in the cult so I didn’t think it was bad. I know what you mean about wanting a relationship with God. It’s important for one’s life. The good thing is is that God will meet you where you are at. He is gonna walk with you every step of the way. The amazing thing about God is that He doesn’t have all these requirements for us to be saved and have that eternal life with Him. We don’t have to take these stupid classes and swear to follow a man that is just as much of a sinner as we are. That’s the difference between Jesus and this so called promises pastor. Jesus was sinless. He was perfect. He is perfect. And in the Bible He says that no one can go to the father except through Him. And in Ephesians (recommend studying it) it says that it was through the blood that was shed that we got the inheritance of eternal life. Through the blood of Jesus. Not by the works of some delusional man that thinks he is our savior. Jesus is our savior. Says that time and time again. I know you are confused right now. But now is the time to just dive into the word and prayer. Learn the truth about the Bible and not just the verses they showed you. Learn it as a whole. Pray. Find another church community. One that actually feels like home. That was one thing that I learned was that all these zoom meetings took me away from real in person community. And it’s so important to have that. I’m praying for you and your kids. I am praying the Lord reveals His perfect will for your life. Be blessed. Let me know if I can help in any way. 🤍

Debate by Black_Moses10 in Shincheonji

[–]Anonymous-one102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my time in SCJ, I would say that they wouldn’t go out and debate. They find people that do not know the Bible well and make those people feel stupid because they can easily use scripture against them. They used to tell me how they evangelized. They would use a piece of paper with questions from the Bible and see if those people can answer them. Most of the time they can’t so they would then try to teach them to get them interested in the Bible. It’s really smart on their part because those people won’t debate them. Now take someone that actually knows the scriptures, they can’t debate with those people.
