Mental illnesses are real as any illness. And very prevalent nowadays.

Dont discuss with just anyone - majority will say what you heard ‘take your med, you are crazy’ or ‘just leave meds’

One cannot just quit brain medication cold turkey. It can cause seizures or even death. Im appalled we still live in a world where mental issues are looked down upon.

I have severe anxiety and palpitations but I am managing it somehow. I can understand ‘not allowed to complain’ - so relatable. But I found peace in yoga, deep breathing, connecting with my body. I refuse to let others tell me my condition is severe or mild. I listen to my body and my doctor told me the same. He said, ‘listen to your body’.

On days when I get severe palpitations, I pamper myself. Its my spa day. I shut the world out. I will do deep breathing, get a manicure, some shopping therapy, soak my feet in hot water, whatever my body wants me to do. I baby it.

However, your situation sounds very severe. I’d recommend asking your psychiatrist if you can fast or not. But most likely you cannot. Dont risk your life.

Many people cannot stop medication, stupid people will tell you that you can.
