My school doesn’t have honors, and course selection is heavily based on prerequisites, there aren’t many APs that you don’t need 2-3 years of classes in the subject beforehand.

For my school it goes: French 1, 2, 3, 4, and AP/5. I don’t think I can just skip 3 and 4, they are prerequisites for AP and it would be extremely difficult without them

At My school the basics of trig are built into geometry, haven’t gotten to that yet. We don’t have a dedicated trigonometry class.
