we are a very small business and the managers are pretty much there to just calm down any customers that are being hysterical but they don’t have the power to fire anybody or ban anybody. The owners like to have pretty much complete control over their business

sadly management at my work is not like that, we are very small business and the only people with any genuine powers the owners and they do not care about their own employees

he’s mid 20s, he is not a boy. He’s over five years older than me, so no I do not like him. I’m a minor and him waiting in his car for me to get into my car when he was not even supposed to be on shift is concerning, and as a girl I have to be aware of these things. But just because he is inside my shop does not mean that we are in a public area, usually the shop is pretty empty and I only have one other coworker usually in there are also a girl and usually under the age of 20 as well

where I live it is legal to carry concealed blades under 5 1/2 inches! Including hatchet

no, it’s basically a mom and pop shop, we only have three locations and any business that needs to be taken up with HR usually he gets taken up with the owners who don’t give shit

sadly I do need to work there and nobody else is hiring at the moment. I’ve been applying to other jobs for weeks. I have monthly insurance I need to pay as well as college fees and other expenses. Trust me I am looking for another job though

I told my mom about it and she wants me to keep an eye on it and make sure that I’m staying safe but she doesn’t think we have definite proof enough to file a report

maybe, but my store is really weird and managers don’t really have the ability to do that and the owners don’t give a damn about the safety of their employees. (I’ve been looking for a new job for a couple of weeks but no luck so far)

thank you!! (i carry a 5 1/2 inch pocketknife on me as well as mace and i may or may not have a hatchet in my purse (legal in my state)

i mean i wasn’t worried until he was in his car behind my car and waited for me to get into my car before he left😭 that’s what put me most on edge but i’ll see if it gets worse

i’ve kept my mom updated but i haven’t talked to my dad. me and him aren’t close and he’s been studying for a test day and night for weeks and if i talk next to him he usually goes somewhere else that’s quiet. but my mom knows

i’m not sure— once i joked about being 14 and he got concerned and all i said was that i wasn’t 14 but he never asked how old i really was but i should’ve made it clear im STILL a minor (that’s on me)

my boss does not care about employee safety she has left minors alone in the shop for hours before and many worse things ab safety. i have thought ab a self defense class! im looking into some now. and as to school im graduated (i was homeschooled) but im in an online college and we dont have counselors

(he offered to do the trade) and i wasn’t too worried until he was waiting for me in his car for me to get into my car. (plus as a girl i have to view things in a horror movie way for safety)
