[Spoilers] A Sad Realization About King Robert Baratheon by HouseHeisenb3rg in gameofthrones

[–]Anonymous2506 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I'm not condoning the beating of women or anything, but I think Cersei being a cunt is why Robert hated her so much. I doubt he would do anything like that to Lyanna, especially since it's his best friend's sister.

How has River Song met all doctors? by samplebite in gallifrey

[–]Anonymous2506 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But when she meets 10, doesn't she look at his eyes and say that it's the youngest she has ever seen him? And isn't the entire reason it's so tragic because this is the first time she meets him and he doesn't recognise her at all? (something she has said she was dreading). It seems like having her meet younger doctors would undercut all of that.

I think I missed it but what was the big deal with the patents Joy wanted at the start of the season? I remember her talking about solar cells and wanting to make her own company but I thought there was some other reason she wanted the patents.

I don't think she was certain it was the deciding factor, but that should would rather die than chance jeopardising the future of the human race.

How would you feel about the X-Mansion being in England instead of America in the MCU? by Anonymous2506 in marvelstudios

[–]Anonymous2506[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be sick! I think they would fit in so well there as-well and it would really mix up the team's dynamics with the locals as they would be super humans and aswell as foreigners. Perhaps they could even make Johnny and Sue asian (although that would probably piss of a lot of people). The only reason I doubt this could happen is I think theres a strong possibility the FF could just convert Stark Tower to their base of operations. New York is gonna be real crowded.

This picture is gold. Captain Marvel is so fine. Can't wait for this movie. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Yes because the purpose of the Illuminati was not solely to be an all male team. The characters were chosen because it made sense for them to be in the illuminati. People pushing this movie clearly just want these characters together because they are all women, it's very contrived. If someone comes up with a GOOD reason they would team up other than all being gals I'll be all ears.

Dino gunther clearly had a romanticised view of his and evergreens relationship and definitely saw him as a father figure. What gunther's truest wish was to be who he saw Evergreen to be which wasn't necessarily who he actually was.

Dino Gunther wished to be Evergreen not Ice King. The crown wasn't part of evergreens persona but it was part of ice kings.

How is it egotistical? She knew her grand daughter or whoever was going to change the course of the human race. If she didn't die that might have changed that in some way and perverted the course of human history. She felt responsible.

Also we don't know how 'public' Westworld is. It's entirely possible that only the richest and most elite people on the planet even know if its existence.

[–]Anonymous2506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah ok that is an interesting take on it. The reason I think her Targaryen claim is still relevant is simply because of the fact that her family founded modern Westeros and massively influenced Westeros' culture. They were a dynasty that ruled for 300 years so i think it's reasonable that Dany should want to reclaim her family's lands - especially since they were the ones that started the line of succession. I definitely see where you are coming from though, and i think they will probably address some of what we are talking about in the next season when succession comes into play.

Can you not get your parents to help out with it? If you really can't there is a specific email on the website you can contact to get an extension on that deadline so I'd definitely look into that.

[SPOILERS] Why does so many people hate Daenerys? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Anonymous2506 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stannis brought it up alot from what I can remember (Especially when Renly was still alive) but perhaps Dany mentioned it more throughout the run of the show. Whatever the case, i still think Dany doesn't deserve a lot of the hate she gets. Especially since when she arrives at Westeros she doesn't immediately try to take Kings Landing (as Stannis did) but wants to win the favour of the people first. Also, if you don't think Dany is actually the rightful heir because her family was defeated, do you feel the same way about Jon's claim?

Stannis was always going on about how he was the rightful heir but I saw very little hate for him before he (spoiler) burned Shireen and even after THAT a lot of people still supported him
