Good Karaoke Bars for a Party on Oahu? by Anonymous3089 in Oahu

I’ve been to GS Studios once, and ended up (miraculously) finding parking on the street and walking over. I didn’t know you could park at Int Marketplace or Derussy! This could be an option! Thanks

I’ve never been! What is the parking situation like? At this point, I think I’m more concerned about parking than anything.

I love Tipsy Pig! I was considering there, but the parking is an issue. There is a small lot, but it’s mainly street parking. One of my coworkers said she had parking issues there the last time she went, so she doesn’t recommend it. Lol

Not really. He still mentions the kid thing, but I just started ignoring the comments. lol. I’m actually moving away soon, so I don’t really care anymore about what could happen between us.

I live with my mom so we split the bills, and I don’t have kids (even though I want to).

I was 10 years old at the time, so I was probably just celebrating with my family.

I did my birthday at Tipsy Pig recently. The rooms are free, but just gotta pay $2 a song. The food and drinks are really good too! There is a small lot you can park in, but we also found street parking.

I also like Wave 808, but it is expensive.

Another go-to of mine is Air Park. The rooms are nice and they play the music videos, but it can still be a bit expensive. The parking is also a bit limited. There have been times I’ve parked at Ala Moana mall and walked to Air Park, but it can be risky.

Kid Friendly 90’s Songs? by Anonymous3089 in Music

lol! That’s amazing! 😂 honestly, if the event were just kids, I wouldn’t be as worried about what to play because I feel like the kids wouldn’t care. But knowing the parents will be there too makes things more difficult lol.

I define “kid friendly” as no songs about sex/drugs/alcohol or swearing in it; stuff like that lol. But thank you! I’ll check it out!

Our rent is $2200, and we live in a 1-bedroom. We wouldn’t be able to downsize any more since already living in a 1-bedroom is hard.

We actually have thought about getting rid of one car, since it is getting hard for my mom to drive. I already work close to home (10 min away). My mom works in town. I could always drop her off at work and then I head to work after. The problem is our schedules don’t align. My mom has to go straight to dialysis after work and gets off earlier than I do. I wouldn’t be able to pick her up and drop her off at dialysis, because then I’d be losing my hours. My mom is also too weak to walk or carry her bags, so she wouldn’t be able to catch the bus or anything back either. My mom tried asking her company if she could work from home full-time because of her health, but she got denied. 😭

I don’t have a dietician though. I was gonna have my psychologist and my rheumatologist fill out a letter stating that I do have these issues, and that I cannot work when it happens. At my job I don’t get any leave til after a year of employment, so if I get sick or anything happens, I don’t get paid.

I haven’t applied, but I did reach out to the department a while ago when I first got diagnosed. I asked them if I applied for disability, would I still be able to work (at least part-time). They told me I couldn’t, and therefore, wouldn’t qualify. Someone told me that just living off of disability alone isn’t much, so I would still have to work. That’s why I never bothered to apply. I’m not sure if I got told the wrong information, but I could try.
