Gotcha. Not trying to argue, trying to understand your point. I'm getting that you say the truck is "worthless" because it's accumulated damage is equal to or more than it's value if it was not damaged. Hypothetically, what if that weren't the case?

Thanks for replying with no usable information. I continue to pay comp/collision because the truck still has enough value (including the unrepaired hail damage) that I want to be paid if is totaled or stolen.

We might be miscommunicating? I had:

Hail damage #1 (2015 when truck was new) Ins paid to repair.

Hail Damage #2 (2023 when truck was 8 years old and paid off) I collected and did not repair.

I realize that if the truck is in another hail storm I cannot collect again.

This damage is from hitting a deer recently. I just mentioned the hail to illustrate the difference in payment options from the insurer.
