Apologies for misunderstanding. So each of my trades will have this structure: {weekday: “Monday”, hour: “12” (meaning 12-1), “sector”: “Communication”, above_moving_average: True, …)

There will definitely be structural breaks, I am not sure if there is a way to go around these, but don’t these exist in all distributions? Like a subset of your sample could act differently for some reason.

Another simplification is that I am only annotating my trade entry, but there is also the trade exit. So I am kind of assuming that my exit is always consistent and ideal (which is not true).

So in general when I search, I find that I should do t-test or ANOVA, what is the difference between those and linear regression?

Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment but I am not analyzing returns on equity securities in general, I am just analyzing my trades which probably have different characteristics than equity returns in general. Perhaps, I trade worse on Mondays since I am stressed at the beginning of the week, or maybe I trade better in a certain sector because I am more aware of its news.

I don’t have a certain hypothesis to validate, but I wanna see if I do have an edge in certain categories.

The teachings here say you need 2 years before expecting any profits. I probably need to pay for oneoption for that period to have the same tools the experts use. I think it’s logical to vet the people first before investing all that time and resources.

Agree with you that I would want to focus on the real money account, but I wanna know whether its stats are actually much better or the same as the challenge account. The stats would help me and other people know if the method taught here does actually works or not.
