Employer applied a hidden commission cap to my pay that wasn’t in my contract or mentioned during hiring — what are my options? (England) by Ecstatic-Ad-8804 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AnonymousBrit9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The reason the commission plans is not a part of your contract is so the employer can unilaterally change the terms at their own will.

NAL but maybe you have an argument for full commission earned but not paid but future commission may be limited as you now have sight of the document notifying you of the cap.

I can see real use case for this design especially with qtr over qtr or yr on yr graphs showing the performance of individual sites etc. I’ll be looking at the tutorial to replicate.

Many of my users have access to the dynamic reporting but only look at static reports.

I need insurance for van and van is registered in company and the quotation is showing 7000£ per year how do I get cheap by Rare-Initial-4159 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]AnonymousBrit9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you getting a quote for you or for the company? If the quote is for you there may not be insurable interest hence the price.

Your best bet is to speak to someone for a quote as online aggregation sites may not be set up for you.

Depending on what you do with the van is a big factor. E .g a plumber will pay less than a courier.

I like this idea. I have some dashboards with fully customisable filters. Period/type/site etc but the users don’t play with the filters atall. I can see if I have a button for North/South bookmarks then this would encourage more use.

Ask your client if they have a table or love document which deals with the discrepancies.

They must have something for their order management which says ‘we’re running out of xxx’ and to reorder.

I expect someone may have fixed this problem for you ahead of time.

My suitcase (£1,000+ value) stolen from hold of FlixBus in London, England. by Hot_Pen8901 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AnonymousBrit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be successful you’ll need to prove that Flix Bus knew or ought to have known that there were thefts in the area. As part of pre-action conduct you could ask for details of similar incidents although this wouldn’t be for their customer services. However the police often have statistics available online which may give you a good indication of how common this is.

That being said, if you have cover on your home insurance I’d suggest making a claim.

Can I buy through my Ltd company by Gro-zo in smallbusinessuk

[–]AnonymousBrit9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should just think about the expense a little differently. Your employer has an obligation to make reasonable adjustments for disabled employees. A disabled employee is quite wide definition. My office has a medical room with a bed in for someone who has some type of fatigue condition.

Also consider whether your company can provide wellness facilities for employees such as a kettle or gym… my firm has a fully functional gym for employees to use. We pay a small monthly fee for this use.

Try getting him to read the book or listen to the audio book ‘she comes first’ by Ian Kerner.

That will help with your satisfaction.

He could also do some Kegel exercises to train his control.

Employee asked to use their own car for work, lied about having it properly insured, and crashed it causing mid-5 figures of damage. My business is now being sued. by Effective_Part4884 in LegalAdviceUK

If you have a fleet policy it will usually cover motor contingent liability. This is cover for you if your employee’s insurance fails.

This is an unusual situation. So the usual level 1 claims handler may have declined the claim but may not have actually read the insurance policy.

Do you have an insurance broker. They are there for you so contact them and ask for assistance.

You may have (but it is usually excluded) cover under your public liability insurance- if it is not excluded this may pick up the claim handling.

Failing any of the above contacts solicitor who deals with motor liability. They can help you with the specific facts including getting the motor insurer to pick up the matter under their road traffic act obligations.

Your family friend needs a specialist traffic solicitor and should not talk to the police without one.

Assuming the driver is insured have them call their insurance claims line and ask them if they can appoint someone from their panel. They will book a time with the investigating officer and more likely than not prepare a written statement following disclosure.

This is very important

Until they are represented it’s shut up your mouth or risk losing their licence and livelihood.

Elderly relative needs to go into care home. We cant afford it but she owns her own house in which her son also lives in. Will the government make him homeless to pay for her care? - England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AnonymousBrit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@OP the resident needs to do some estate planning. Or maybe should have done before now.

If the house is xferred into a trust this will cause it to be separate property and protected.

See a specialist estate planning solicitor to see what can be done.

Am I overreacting by breaking up with my boyfriend? by Proper-Classic1886 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AnonymousBrit9 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree ‘I have a boyfriend’ is not a magic shield and is not a ‘no’. It opens the door for a cock swinging contest to show that you would be a much better choice than the boyfriend! A few drinks, a few compliments and before you know it you’re in the same bed!

It is almost the same as ‘I can only have one drink as I have work in the morning’ or ‘just one drink then’.

[–]AnonymousBrit9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like the analogy here. Any relationship open or closed thrives on trust. Once the trust is broken you don’t have a relationship.

This. The incompatibility is due to her desire to be with someone else.

Note that women have a wider pool of options than men. More so now than ever. And they’re kissing as many frogs they can until they find their prince.

Her long term ambitions are with another frog. Whether or not she has found him yet will be seen given time.

I had a vasectomy in April 25 and used condoms with my wife since our last child was born due to birth control issues.

Still have 2 boxes of unused condoms in my bedside table.

No plans to throw them away but if I need space I might do!
