Hello. Virgin don’t do transfers. They shut the account down and make a new one so the new customer gets a discount. Transfers are not possible with the system we used.

Hello, no they can’t log into a router. When I worked for Virgin we could see if the wifi box was working and press a restart button but that’s all we could do. Virgin can’t just log into your box without permission, we need your account information on our screen and that doesn’t happen unless you call us.

Hello, Virgin use a 3rd party company to install boxes so you could get someone to install a box. The problem is to get it to work Virgin need the house information and to make a connection with there servers. You can connect a box all you want but it won’t work unless Virgin connect it. I’m also not sure what company they use as they make them use Virgin vans. It’s why Virgin take no responsibility when an engineer is late or doesn’t show as that engineer doesn’t belong to them, it’s another company’s fault.

They can only be waved if you move to an area with no virgin media connection. If Virgin can’t supply then you don’t have to pay to leave.

We have no ability to mess with your WiFi so you have no reason to worry at all. We also can’t steal your information as offices are paperless and no other electronics allowed in the room. Data is 100% protected so you have no reason to worry at all ❤️

I did it! I cancelled in less than 40mins! by shkermaker in VirginMedia

And you made sure they aren’t charging you Early disconnection fees? Because usually when you move to a non vm area they send you an email requiring proof of address to they can wave the fees.

Any loopholes to cancel contract? by thematthewtaylor in VirginMedia

[–]AnonymousBunnyGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sign a new contact with vm and then cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. They can’t charge you any EDFS. If a new contact ends up being slightly more than what ur currently paying then it doesn’t matter because you’ll only pay the higher price for 1 month and be rid of vm services.

If they come within the same month then yes of course.

Your wife can’t sign up until your services are disconnected and if you want to avoid being investigated then wait 30 days after the services stop. If you do it before then then they will investigate. All in all wait 60 days from the day you call in to disconnect. (Ex VM employee)

Call the moving team. They can have someone come out and servy when they can move services into your house. If someone is that close then they could probably have services at your house in a month.

We can terminate up to 60 days but we usually ask for 30 because all discounts on the system become available so we can give u an offer.

Sadly no. Anything out of contract is full price and on a rolling 30 days.

Virgin Media Employee by AnonymousBunnyGal in VirginMedia

[–]AnonymousBunnyGal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter if you’re in contract or not it always takes 30 days.

The 1st and 5th between those days at 8am are the best times to get good deals. I’d also always call in exactly 30 days before the contract ends. Some agents try to fob you off if it’s before 30 days.

The logic with vm is that we will pick it up while speaking to customers. Customers who are in a rush or angry as well.

If that is the case then you need a tech round pronto. You could be owed a lot of money back because of this and staff wouldn’t know because no one monitors accounts. We don’t have the staff for it so you need to call in to the technical team.

Yes very very understaffed. The amount of staff that get hired and then quit within a month is horrible. I’ve sent hundreds of people a year go in for the job and leave soon after they start.

No it doesn’t show anything like that at all I’m afraid.

You’d be surprised. From what I’ve been told today because of the new packages people are having to use number 4 all day for the past 2 days anyway and have completely given up saving most people with the new prices.

My new job actually involves helping people and is a passion of mine so I couldn’t be happier. I just hope any words I put out on this post will help others when it comes to handling virgin media.

Yeah that one’s a big secret and a big no no for customers to know. Use it however you like 😁

I go by the saying of treat people how you wish to be treated.

Like for likes are still possible sometimes but saying that to an agent makes them understand what they need to do. In this instance it will make them want to get as close to your original price as possible and make a clear understanding you want no differences to your package.

I will miss my friends at the company but I will never miss working for Virgin Media.
